A fighter like Thurman shouldn't be struggling with the likes of Lopez no matter how long the lay off, although I guess you can say the same about Pac against Horn. I think you're selling Pac way too short. We'll have to see how they both look when they finally fight but don't be shocked if Pac actually manages to pull it off. This is what makes this match up very intriguing and I'm glad we're finally having this fight made.

I don't think it will be close but I'm glad it will be made so Pac will finally retire after he loses. Boxing is a young man's game.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. We'll see how this goes. Will you give Pac any credit if he manages to pull it off? I'll definitely give Thurman credit if he beats Pac convingly.
Guys like Jersey Joe Walcott, Archie Moore, Foreman, Hopkins were able to stick around the game for awhile, showing that age in boxing is just a number and not just a young man's game. The old legend Pac has the ability to do the same as well.

He could beat Thurman he's a ATG and the second best fighter of the era but I just don't think it will happen. If he wins I will give him his due. I'm not a troll I give fighter's their due when they win.

The irony here. You're always full of excuses when the fighter you like doesn't win. You never give the other guy their due.

Not as weird as you'd think lol I like Thurman but he looked terrible in his first fight back which I give him a pass after such a long layoff but he better have his A game if and when he steps in against Manny. Manny is nowhere near his prime but still a challenge for anyone In the division.

    Fair play to Pacquiao.

Love him or hate him, his attitude towards boxing is so refreshing compared to the vast bulk of the modern crop. He genuinely just wants to fight the best opponents and has a desire to prove himself and cement his greatness, regardless of whether he financially needs to do this or not (massive career earnings and a high-up government job as his main gig). Wise? Maybe not. Admirable? For us fans, without doubt.

Tough fight against Thurman though - Thurman is big and rangy, technically very neat when he wants to be, and can crack.

I went for PAC out of respect, but Thurman should win this really - unless, as many have theorised, his heart isn’t truly in the game anymore...we know that Mannys certainly is!

And Broner is 30. t won't matter to some people. Manny could unify at heavyweight and some people would S*** on him for it.

I think Thurman wins a split decision. His movement and angles will give Manny problems. I have come full circle and have rooted for Manny to finish his career with the dignity and respect he's earned but I don't think this is a good fight for him.

The only fight I don't want to see Manny in is Crawford. I think he has a good shot at beating anyone else. And YES, that includes Spence.

Thurman's never been in a fight with a guy with Pac's speed, movement, AND angles. Thurman will run.

Agreed on this...he don't want no smoke with Crawford. I think this is a close fight and why I predicted a split decision, I could definitely see Manny winning this fight.

Ohhhh...no doubt Thurman runs, that's a given in my mind. Which is why I give him a chance at the decision, make it a total snoozer and hope for the best.
