Able claimed GG didn't follow the gameplan. I don't think he was happy with Golovkin retreating and avoiding the Mexican style of fighting they always boasted about. He fought the rematch all wrong imo. Able wanted him to use his physical advantages , GG wanted to use his skill. He's not as skillful as Canelo. I don't like Sanchez either , but i can't see how he done anything wrong. GGG isn't blameless.
Good move. GGG has been devolving from the dynamic pressure countering style that got him to the top in recent years, also evidenced by his significant decrease in body punching. That he got rid of Abel tells me he's serious about the third Canelo fight, because repeat performances won't be good enough to get the W next time around, either. Time to roll the dice.
Golovkin should hire Tunde Ajayi if he wants to get to the next level. Either Tunde or Chris Eubank Jr.
i dont like this from GGG Abel was telling him how to win the fight, that he had to go forward, but GGG ignored him and stayed on the backfoot Then after the fight Abel wasnt deluded he accepted Canelo won, GGG stayed in denial I'm a big GGG fan but this just seems like he is still in denial, looking for someone to blame for losing to the bettter man
He obviously felt embarrassed and let down after giving the big talk about Mexican style for so long. Not a nice thing to say , but he had his reasons.
GGG is not blameless here, at all. With that said the move doesn't bother me. I think he has received already all that Sanchez has to offer.
He lost to Alvarez by an entire 2 points across 3 judges scorecards by changing his style completely in a single camp.
GGG is a better boxer than pressure fighter. This should be a good change. Those saying he lost to Canelo because he backed up are obviously biased and cannot see what is going on in the ring. Scoring on expectations instead of boxing.
