I love the switch to McGirt too, but I think Teddy Cruz also had a lot to do with how fresh Krusher looked in the Alvarez rematch. Cruz immediately scaled Krusher's training workload way back and started giving him more days off to rest and recover when he came on board. I remember Teddy saying Kovalev was training far too frequently for a 35 year old and a big part of the reason he was fading badly in the second half of fights. Krusher was showing up on fight night completely spent from working himself into the ground during training camp.

It's not easy to have a style vs monroe jr or ishida and to have the same style vs canelo. You can go to sleep earlier than you think, if you do so.

Honestly, you cant ask gg for doing the same vs canelo that he did vs monroe "what's-a-knockout" jr.

I asume that you say that because of the lack of work to the body. Well, trying to punch canelo's liver for free, will result in finding canelo's elbow in your hand, and canelo's upper in your chin. Things are different when you are fighting a p4p fighter and not a tomato can in germany.

I loved both fights, btw, I consider the 2 fights very high quality boxing. p4p boxing skills in there. I'm not saying that gg is bad, dont missunderstand me, guys, please.

Good move. Sanchez kinda lost me when in the build up to the Canelo rematch he was asked what GGG had to do next time to win and instead of offering any new insight or encouragement to GGG’s fans, he just said something on the lines of ‘nothing different, just do exactly the same because everyone saw that he won that first fight so why should he do anything different?’

Maybe Genius, because regardless of whether everyone thought he won, he didn’t actually get the decision so how the hell is he going to get the decision next time if you’re telling him to do exactly the same thing?

Golovkin has finally caught the mole out, Sanchez was clearly part of the "Canelo Plan!" They say blood is thicker than water, those Mexicana's definitely stick together......

Apparently the reason for the split is financial abel call ggg greedy

    From ringtv.com
He proposed and insisted on an insulting new trainer compensation schedule, my dignity and honor does not allow me to be screwed like that,” said Sanchez. “It’s unfortunate being greedy, being ungrateful and no ethics, honor or integrity will end this relationship.”

Im not comparing GGG vs Canelo to GGG vs Monroe. I'm comparing Canelo I vs Canelo II. I never expected GGG to knockout Canelo, just like I predicted Jacobs to end his KO streak. GGG went from pressuring Canelo to sidestepping and stepping back after jabbing. Something we rarely see him do and he did it while fighting Canelo to what was practically a draw by the judges scorecards and an actual draw on mine.

Abel with his classy comments again. GGG is the one getting hit in the face but Abel's acting like he's the main man. Did he already forget that if anybody wants to train with him it's because of GGG? He probably made a **** load of money with GGG and he has the guts to say GGG is greedy?

Abel steered Golovkin thru these Clenelo matches and the ensuing fiasco. The second time around, they made even worse adjustments and not just in fight gameplan but in dealing with the corruption. It's no surprise that he'd be fired.

This. Abel is an excellent trainer. GGG is an idiot to leave a guy that has helped him achieve as much success as he did just like with Bradley cutting ties with Diaz late in his career. Also, I doubt GGG will have the same chemistry with another trainer, since I seen both Abel and GGG in person at the Kaminsky gym and seen that GGG wasn't an easy person to work with.

They seem like a perfect match then, GGG and Abel that is.
