I remember when this guy used to talk himself as one of the best fighters in the world. And said he wanted to fight Mayweather. And everyone was like sure for the paycheck since you have no chance of winning. We all laughed at Khan for a reason and we will continue to laugh at Khan for a reason.

Amir Khan is and always will be a mediocre fighter at best. Khan has no chance against elite fighters like Crawford and Spence. Heck, he has no chance against very good but not quite elite guys like Porter, Thurman, Kell Brook and Danny Garcia.

I never understood the hype around Amir Khan who is the very definition of an average fighter.

I remember when people thought he'd be stylistic challenge against Mayweather and when Amir would brag about getting the better of Pac in sparring. Hopefully the hype train is all the way off the rails and into a deep canyon so we don't have to hear about the blistering hand speed anymore.

I agree, all his pathetic fans saying 'he can't be outboxed', 'he'd have beaten Mayweather'., 'if he had a chin he'd be an ATG' if/but/could've shouldve.. it's the biggest load of **** I've ever seen.

Khan is just an expensive journeyman. he's a bum who's have a manufactured career and still failed.

Looking at a past prime Khan and saying he was always no good is just stupid. That he looked shot in his last fight is the only reason Crawford fought him that's your boy Terence having Arum pick and choose his opponents.

Khan is an Olympic silver medallist who beat Barrera, Kotelnik, Maidana, Malignaggi, Judah, Peterson, Alexander, Algieri and Collazo. A prime version was a very good boxer.

If Mayweather thought it was an easy payday he would've taken the fight, that was his MO throughout his career but he ducked him multiple times for the likes of Berto.

I agree with this for the most part. Khan has shown flashes of greatness. The brutal ko’s took their toll as they always do. He was a recipe for disaster. A brilliant offense. Lightning fast, blazing combos. Roach was the perfect coach to hone that offense, but he had that glass jaw. Trying to be more defensively sound under hunter pretty much took away the very attributes that made him special. Add more brutal knock outs and we are left with the khan we now have.

If he was offensively so brilliant, then how come did he get countered so often?
Ffs, look at what Garcia did to him and Peterson. They countered him at near will.

First off most offensive minded fighters tend to get hit/countered more. So...your argument doesnt make a ton of sense. Secondly, I think he beat Peterson. Not to mention Peterson was juiced to the gills. As for Garcia, khan was pretty much having his way with him til he landed a big left hand directly to khans neck.

You are making Khan out to be Roman Gonzales, which he was not. He always was a boxer who relied on fast spurts.
You can be exceptionally aggressive, and not get countered. See Duran.
What does the outcome of the fight have to do with what I am talking about?
During the first KD, Peterson landed a big left hook of his own before falling off balance. He did this whole night long.
    Being offensive is no excuse.
Just look at the damn highlights. Non stop countering from Peterson.

Khan was eating that left hook every round till he threw the stupidest uppercut of 2012.

30 seconds into the first round, Garcia landed a big counter right.
Look at the fight again. It's a common misconception that Khan had his way until the first KD.
He was getting countered and ate some solid lead right hands from Garcia.
Watch it again, and focus on Garcia's countering.

I didn’t make khan out to be anything. I said he showed flashes of greatness n that he had a great offense. Which he did at one time. You wanna dissect a couple specific fights n do all you can to malign him for some reason. Have at it man. I’m not a fan and never was. I’m of the opinion that he had p4p potential that was ruined by knock outs from a weak chin. Ffs...

 Please, do point out those magical moment where he showed "flashes of greatness". He had elite speed, a good reach and solid stamina.

I highlighted those two fights because that is where his flaws were most apparent.

His run from Barrera through Peterson. Barrera, maidana, kotelnik, Judah, malinaggi...if you didn’t see flashes of greatness or The potential of being a top pound for pound fighter then you werent watching. Im not even a fan of the guy so kick rocks man. Obviously you harbor a hatred for him n that’s fine, I could care less but stop pressing your stupid argument for it on me. I could point out a lot more dumb **** khan did than good **** just like any other fan of the sport. My entire comment had to do with his ability vs his faults. Clearly his faults prevailed. You aren’t a visionary for seeing that. It’s plain as day. Press your hatred elsewhere.
