Well turns out there was no real offer. Ortiz’s name was thrown around by Herns to get buzz. It’s not an offer when you call and throw a number, say 5 million, and the other side counters with 10 million. Then turn around and say see ya.

If this was a Serious offer of 5 million And they weren’t going to budge a penny then they should have sent a contract. With a Take it or leave it.

i know, a 40 yr old man refusing at least 5 mil to fight for most of the belts in USA?

if he fights 5 times against other opponents and puts his body through 5 camps he wont make 5 mil so this is a CLEAR duck in my opionoin (quack, quack, quack)

    The context that matters is:

Would Ortiz have been paid 20-30 times more than he otherwise will be for his next fight? That's a yes.

Will he make as much money in any other single fight for the rest of his career? Most likely not.

Would he be set for life and greatly enhance his legacy if he beat Joshua? Yes.

Except for perhaps Wilder I can't come to think of any other fighter that said "thanks, but no thanks" in a similar context. No matter what the other guy was getting.

Anyone who has done any kind of business knows you would never send a contract without the terms being agreed, by sending the contract you could be legally bound by those terms should you end up in dispute even if the contract is not signed.

can't wait to see the proof

AJ is the boogeyman of the HWD

Wilder Turned down 100 mil deal and Luis Ortiz turns down a career high pay day

Remember when Wilders right hand was so fearful nobody would face him and how he nearly killed Ortiz the first time around?!?!

Well, we may be in for that ride again!!!

    Wilder and Ortiz are joke's

But traditionally the challenger doesn’t duck and dive, the champion does that.
These fighters are acting as though they’re the champion.
You would think they would go for it,win the the title and hold all the aces for a rematch.

Perhaps he would rather fight for the world title with a full camp instead of shotgun assignment.

So by these standards you would agree that AJ ducked Wilder and the $50 million offer, correct?

Yes if AJ sent Ortiz a grammatical error ridden email offering Ortiz more than $5 mil to fight him but in the real world that's not how fights are made. Fighters do not make deals. Promoters and managers do.

lol Dubblepenertration doesn't not know what thinking means let alone actually doing it before during or after typing..

I would say he was a troll but given the intelligence level of his incoherent repetitive posting, I think he is way too stupid to be trolling..

    Bit sad really..
