We live in an era of boxing were boxers are hyped to the bone . What active fighter today is the most hyped in your opinion
Canelo, he should really have 5 losses on his resume. 3 of those should be to guys that are elite movers (Floyd, Trout, Lara), 2 to an elite pressure fighter who came forward with a great jab the first fight, then outboxed him on the backfoot in the second fight (Golovkin). Canelo has not even yet proven that he can beat an elite mover clearly, Yet somehow he's in everyone's top 10 p4p rankings.
Out of these, I'd say Crawford, but only above 140, he was a beast there. He hasn't put a foot wrong at 147 but he hasn't looked unbeatable and hasn't faced very good competition there. I don't favour him against any of the other champions (at there best for Thurman) and would have Danny Garcia a solid 50-50 to beat him. Yet people favour him against Canelo and can even consider him moving up another 2 weights, he needs to prove himself at WW imo to be talked about with Canelo and Hurd But in general I can only see it being Caleb Plant. His story is tragic and I love his chin up attitude, but he hasn't beaten anyone good, has no power and would he the lightly regarded champion at 168, I'd say him vs Dirrel now is a 50-50, but him Vs Smith or even Eubank is a complete missmatch. Yet Ive seen someone say he's going to be a 3 weight, and others say he'll beat Kovalev and Canelo and be pfp 1
How can Wilder be overrated when many dont rate him? I swear this forum is dumb. If I am going to say the most overrated then its GGG. Many say he could beat the likes of Hagler. Lets face it the only time he fought decent fighters he lost. Canelo and Jacobs beat him.
No ****. Wilder never got any hype most thought he would lose when he stepped up yet he's overrated? He's just hated more than he was hyped because he had little hype coming up. No one was saying he would KO Ali Tyson and Holmes., like people were saying GGG would KO Hagler Hopkins and Monzon.
The Charlo's were never on anyone's top 10 P4P list they weren't rated by most just hated. To be overrated you need to be atleast ranked as a top 10 P4P fighter like GGG who was ranked #1 ffs at one point which was a cruel joke.
Because the people that do rate overrate severely e.g. the Wilder and Fury being in the "top 3" above tje rest and the narrative that Wilder would beat anyone outside the top 3 is overrating his abillities and underrating others in the divison that are cable of beating him. Name another world chamipion with such a poor cherry picked opponent resume?
