Lol, the dude expected to get paid 10M$, and refused a flat rate which is standard when you win that much money, and calls GGG greedy. What does that make you Abel?

I swear, he needs to shut the hell up sometimes.

People watch Golovkin's fights for Golovkin, not Abel Sanchez. There is no standard fee for a trainer, if Sanchez didn't like what he was offered and wanted more money and GGG didn't want to pay it, Sanchez wasn't entitled to it. End of story.

    This.
I think Golovkins side offered him a flat fee. Giving away a percentage of your purse is fine, when that purse is around 1mil. But now that there is 100mil on the line, well things change.

I've always known that 10% is "the" standard, not necessarily a "rule".

Either way, this just shows what GGGs character. I'm not even sure why his die hard fans still defend all his actions.

He doesn't fight the fighters the fans want, he has a crap resume, he doesn't care about his fans, he chooses money over legacy, he fights low quality opponents, he didn't fight Mexican style against the Mexican, and his nice smile good boy persona is fake, and he clearly has no loyalty.

So why do his fans obsessively defend his every move again?

Who else is going to pay Sanchez the amount he was offered by GGG? That's right, nobody. He should have taken the offer and STFU.

As for the other comments, you're clearly a hater of GGG, which is fine. I'm not here to defend every decision that Golovkin has made but Sanchez complaining about money is not something to hold against him IMO.

Exactly. Do people think Freddie Roach made $5.2 Million (DLH's purse was $52 million) training DLH for Mayweather? Fvck no. He made about $500k, maybe less. Every top fighter work out a deal with their trainers when they start making a lot of money. When Roach trained Pacquaio, Roach didn't get a 10% fee, he got a flat fee.

Here's some interesting drama in the DLH vs Mayweather fight:

A subplot to the fight concerned whether De La Hoya would be trained by Floyd Mayweather Sr., the estranged father of Mayweather Jr. Mayweather Sr. had served as De La Hoya's trainer since 2001. Mayweather Sr. announced his willingness to train De La Hoya after initially declining to oppose his son, but demanded a $2 million fee in light of the enormous revenue to be generated by the fight. De La Hoya declined to meet Mayweather Sr.'s demands, making a counteroffer of $500,000 guaranteed plus an additional $500,000 contingent on De La Hoya winning the fight.[3] Ultimately, the sides were unable to come to an agreement and De La Hoya hired the highly respected Freddie Roach to be his cornerman instead.[1].

If you do the math, $2 Million is less than 4% and that's what Sr. was asking for and DLH said no. DLH offered $500k, which was less than 1%. Abel wants 10%. Get the fvck out of there. Who is really the one being greedy? All you GGG haters are letting your bias getting in the way of logic.

Sanchez is a mediocre trainer, no wonder Kovalev and Golovkin dumped him. Kovalev said he is just a mitt holder nothing more.

I mean, Floyd Sr. would have had nightly conference calls with Floyd telling him all about Oscar's camp.

Any details of what he was being paid? He was very loyal to Golovkin and seriously went out of his way to look out for Golovkin's best interests, like ducking the young lions, ducking Ward, etc. Golovkin may not have beaten Charlo. He damn sure wouldn't have beaten Ward, so Fable was a great protector in that aspect of it.

Please. He was promoting himself to get business.

From the sound of it, he was probably getting 10% per fight. Since GGG made $10-$20 Million in the 2nd Canelo fight, Abel probably got at least a million when it was all said and done. If Abel said he's getting 1/5, GGG probably offered him $200k+ per fight, which is more than reasonable.

By not taking the money and STFU, Abel Sanchez clearly proves he's not a greedy **** like some GGGoons are trying to paint him, some people have something called dignity.

Its clearly about principal, not greed for Sanchez, and whether you agree with Sanchez or not he is spot on about what he said regarding Golovkin being greedy.

I don't care much if Sanchez gets paid what he feels he should get paid, I'm just offering a contrast point of view from the typical GGGoon view that Golovkin can do no wrong.

And its a legitimate question I ask since GGGoons are real quick to attack fans who criticize Golovkin.

If GGG doesn't care about his fans, fights weak opposition, contradicts himself, has a crap resume, puts money over legacy and money over loyalty, why are his fans so obsessed with him?

Dignity my ass. Every fighter works out a flat fee for their trainer once they start making a lot of money. Every fighter and that includes Mayweather, DLH, Canelo, and Pacquaio.

Go find me a top fighter who makes as much as GGG still giving 10% to his trainer. Abel is greedy a punk and he's acting like a ***** after the split.

Every fighter who makes top money?

You have a link or a source to back that claim up?
