Joyce vs Dubois will NOT be PPV - Frank Warren saving British Boxing?

Sky sports should really be dumping Eddie as their sole promoter for sky sports shows.

He has taken his eye off the ball in the uk, and is focusing on US success.

Dump him please sky.

If Dubois vs Joyce is actually made then that’s a great fight and Warren deserves massive credit for making it.

 

Funny thing is that Eddie Hearn keeps talking about mooted Warren fights in public before they are even signed, insisting that they won’t get made. He said that Fury will never fight Wilder and it happened. He said that Dubois v Joyce would never happen and that Yarde v Kovalev won’t happen...

Then both fights get agreed lmfao!

Hearn needs to get his own house in order before talking about Warren’s fights.

Frank has signed exclusively with BT so what are other shows are sky going to get? Cyclone or MTK cards are the only realistic alternative.

I think it’s more likely that Sky would pull the plug or pull the funding on boxing completely. But I suppose while they’ve still got AJ they won’t do that.

 

Sly Sports should open up its boxing to any promoter. Get promoters to submit proposed cards then allocate funds to promoter when approved and dates agreed.

 

I agree with you that it’s not a PPV fight but Joshua v Pudding Whyte was on Sky Box Office and neither had any names on their record at the time. In fact they all have similar names on their records at the time that fight happened.

That box office event was sold purely on beef.

 

its a fight for the vacant British title, PPV shouldn't even be thought about. didn't even realise fury had dropped the belt.

It's a good fight and I'll enjoy watching it. Don't expect me to like Warren though. He's robbed too many fighters for me to ever do that.

 

We're in a pretty sad place when questions like this even get asked.

 

Cleverly v Bellew 2 at Puddingweight, completely meaningless fight sold again on beef.

We should really be thankful that Frank Warren is bucking the trend and treating the fans to this fight. We all know that Hearn would have put this, Warrington v Galahad and Yarde v Kovalev on PPV.

Frank really is for the fans.

 

The reason it's not PPV is because it won't sell enough to justify it. That's it.

Frank put Khan Salita, Audley Rogan and Brook Jennings on PPV. But his problem now is they all were on Sky and his PPV's now are hidden away on BT.

Sure he is still number 2 and by a distance but dont even think he would try and pass that garbage off asl PPV in this day and age with no monopoly on the uk industry
