Abel Sanchez is an attention seeking ***** who said everything he said to boost his own image/worth in boxing. Don't act like he was doing GGG a favor to help with branding.

Nah. I thought Abel talked to much and was annoying as hell. Felt this way about Roach and Ariza as well (even during Pac's rise).

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar_De_La_Hoya_vs._Floyd_Mayweather_Jr.
DLH offered Mayweather Sr. $500k for fight he was making$ 52 Million on.

    http://tss.ib.tv/boxing/articles/19838-does-manny-pay-roach-a-percentage-or-flat-fee
Pacquiao gives Roach a flat fee. The amount is undisclosed.

    https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2005-aug-28-sp-trainers28-story.html
Trainers talking about how much fighters pay them. Roach talking about training other fighters and not getting 10% when a fighter makes $8 million.

This is how the industry work.

Would love to hear GGG's side of it soon enough.

10% is for up and coming fighters and their trainers. I'd be highly doubtful that Abel got 10% of the Canelo pursues. Highly, highly doubtful.

It must have always been a flat fee.

GGG and Sanchez are cut out of the same cloth. They both talk to much, they both think they are more important than what they really are, and they are both two faced, well Sanchez maybe not so much, but he is annoying.

Sanchez is greedy or he would have taken the best offer available to him. I think wanting more is the definition of greed.

And how can you say he fights weak opposition when he just faced Canelo twice, whom many people have as one of the best P4P? And his resume gets crapped on but it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

Sanchez has been on record acting edgy for years now.
This comes as no surprise and if he wants to talk about disrespect and money/fame going to someone’s head he needs to look in the mirror. 90% of team GGG media work has been covered by him mouthing off, at times, ridiculous stuff.

Golovkin has clearly changed his priorities, it was obvious since GGG-Canelo 2. He had every opportunity to go after the last belt and legacy, he chose money. Do I blame him? No. I am disappointed tho.
That said, Sanchez, for all the good he’s done, is in no place to moan about getting less than expected so long as he wasn’t going to get same money he had before DAZN and I don’t see Golovkin not increasing his pay, which makes it is “not enough”/greed on his part and not Genady’s.

PR is good, but his main job is being a trainer.

    1. No Sanchez wasn't loyal, he backstabbed GGG immediately after he lost.
    2. It's not possible to duck anyone who doesn't fight in your division.
    3. As for Charlo he should have lost to Korobov. Charlo is below Jacobs' level whom GGG beat. There is no reason why Golovkin should duck a boxer like that.

You are wrong on all counts; you spew nothing but agenda driven BS. As usual.

Was that confirmed, since I highly doubt GGG ever paid Abel 10% just like Kovalev never paid JDJ what he promised him. GGG is pretty famous for being a cheapskate and stiffing people here in California. I seen Tolik, who owns Kaminsky Boxing Gym lose his sh*t at GGG several years ago for trying to stiff some sparring partners at his gym and Tolik made Abel and GGG pay everybody what they were promised.

GGG also struggled to get fights for years against good competition, since he constantly lowballed fighters. The fight with Daniel Jacobs almost didn’t happen because GGG kept trying to lowball him.

Emmanuel Steward was on a flat fee of $300,000 per fight when he was with Lennox Lewis. I imagine it was similar with Wladimir Klitschko.

Going on a flat fee over 8 million is not a standard, its what Roach does. The article clearly states 10% is the standard.

That's fine and dandy, but not every trainer is Roach, and as generous as Pacquiao is, I am more than sure he paid Roach very handsomely. As far as DLH-Mayweather, that's their business dealings, and Mayweather was happy, its not like Mayweather did ANYTHING for ODLHs marketability or very much for his skill.

That last link you posted is very telling about GGG. He falls nto that category of fighters Goossen and Roach talk about who just don't want to pay.

    https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2005-aug-28-sp-trainers28-story.html

GGG imo isn't the fighter you guys pretend he is, and this is just another thing in a list of actions that prove he is a diva and a hype job.

I don’t believe Sanchez was going to get less than he had before, doesn’t make sense. What would make sense, his pay didn’t go up as much as Golovkins proportionally.
