Shouldn't we wait to see how he looks against Rodriguez first before talking about a Donaire fight? It's crazy how quick people are not giving Rodriguez any chance at all against Inoue.
Rodriguez is pretty damn good, but we're talking Inoue: King of the Monsters here. You don't expect to go to a Gojira movie and expect him to lose or even to look bad, do you?
Burnett, the guy who ducked both Tete and Rodriguez. Young was a feather fisted shrimp though, giving up size dimensions, and also hadn't fought anyone. It was a highlight reel KO for Donaire, and a great confidence booster. Don't be fooled though. Young was doing some good things in the fight, he just didn't have any power to make it count. Tete would have, and Inoue damn sure will.
Inoue went up in weight and smoked 2 world class dudes in 1 round a piece... Rodriguez hasn't really fought anyone. He's about to face a monster.
Ok. Young maybe not too good. But still, Donaire at 118 is still unbeatable. Never lost at 118 and fast at 118. I don't think that's a fluke or being fooled - to be fair. Young is one thing but Donaire's resume is not as bad either. Here in Japan, although Inoue has a large fan base there are some critics who still questions his level of opponents. Bottom line like I've been sayin, Boxing fans will surely enjoy this matchup and it will not be an easy fight for either side of the camp. Whoever gets overconfident is in danger.
This is boxing so anything is possible. It will be good to see how Inoue handles Rodriguez. A formidable one.
I'm not counting Rodriguez out, It's more like wanting an Inoue - Donaire matchup instead. But yeah, anything can happen in Boxing. It could end up a Donaire - Rodriguez fight too. Then we can start another thread for that
