Lol. No. I think he would have won but it would have been more competitive.

Yeah he did well under favorable circumstances to him. However, I have always said under these condition no one could beat him.

And, for me, Long Count saying Ali-Williams gave the perfect response. There were a few reasons why Ali looked untouchable that night which had little to do with his own huge talent. Which, to be fair, he displayed in spades.

Not even convinced JCC wins, Saad. Hector was special before Rosario. He would have given anyone fits with his speed and unorthodox moves and I don't think Chavez had the same one punch kick that Chapo had to take Camacho out of his game plan.

He beats 1987 Camacho easily. On points as Hector fights on the back foot, losing every round as he throws so few punches despite a frustrated Julio's taunts about his machismo. But there'd be no ****s getting pushed in. Camacho was too elusive and durable and, quite frankly, safety first at that point.

1986 Camacho, pre-Rosario, was much more aggressive and even quicker. And, as I said, JCC didn't have the one punch pop that Chapo did to discombobulate Camacho so Hector is able to stick to the game plan. It might make you LOL but I'm sticking to my initial point. I wouldn't make 1986, pre-Rosario Camacho a favourite but I wouldn't bet against him pulling it off.

It was a boxing match. Both boxed according to talent and skill. One man was better. You are reading too much into it.

I am saying the significance of the win was overrated on Duran's part, not the fight. The fight was a great fight. But Ray could fight another way..

But Ray didn't fight the other way in this... How is the fight at the time, meaning not using the rematch because it hadn't happened yet, not huge for Duran. He had moved up from his best weight and SRL is the biggest scalp on his resume. Yes Ray learned from the first fight to the second, but he was already established at WW in every way shape and form .. I mean it's like saying that the Ray fight was overrated for Ray when he beat Hearns because Hearns' learned from this fight the same way that Ray learned from Duran 1 … I mean you should learn a lil from every fight … but that shouldn't take away from the significance of a huge fight like Duran SRL 1 or Ray Tommy 1 ..right?
