Speculative thread attempting to boost profile. If it turns out to be Hunter, we will be redirected back here for 'reflected glory'. If it's Ortiz or Ruiz he'll hope everyone forgets this thread ever existed. Textbook....

If he’s a true pro, he has threads on other boxing forums with different screen names confirming it’s Ruiz and Ortiz

If it is Hunter, then why does Hunter go beyond 6 rounds?

How will he survive the punishment of AJ when he is neither illusive or fast with his footwork?

Answer: Maybe AJ toys with him for the crowd.

Well if this is true then we can officially confirm that Ortiz and Kownacki are now recognised cowards and take their place among the cowardice greats such as Deonkey Wilder. They have the coward sticker, the coward badge, the coward hat and the coward t-shirt. The whole collection. Ortiz the boogeyman? I beg to differ. The boogeyman goes by the name of Anthony Joshua. Honestly this division is shadow of it's former self...

Let's all applaud Michael Hunter Jr for stepping up to fight the person everybody was running scared of with an honorable mention to an overweight Ruiz. If these guys are taking this opportunity then the rest have no excuses.

As for the fight, should be interesting. I think AJ's physical advantages will tell after a few rounds and he'll get control after a cagey few rounds. AJ by 5th round knockout, with Hunter putting up a good fight. AJ is now an unstoppable force. Maybe Fury with a few tune-ups stands a chance or Usyk if he can avoid getting caught by a sledgehammer, but other than that the rest are getting blown out of the water.

This fight was never about it being competitive; in fact the opposite. It's a platform for AJ to look great on his US debut. But Hunter is more of a challenge than Miller was ever going to be. The man's got skill, but not the size. Miller had the size, but not the skill. Miller and now Hunter (it seems) AJ gets the headline-catching KO this promotion is all about....

My point is that it is going to look too easy for AJ.... a KO is only impressive if the opponent was supposed to be in there, but someone like AJ KO'ing a cruiser at this stage in his career is pretty pathetic and I doubt it will impress USA... or pull the wool over their eyes.

Just wait till you see these two stand side by side.

Fighting Hunter at this stage is tremendously disappointing. He's just far too small compared to AJ. It'll look comically bad.

Think about this long term . A Hunter V AJ fight . The pros for the bout , building Hunter up an American boxer with a big name defending American turf , win lose or draw Hunter can build on this . It's a no lose situation for him even if he get's KO'd as long as he makes a decent showing of himself for the fight . AJ V Hunter would be good for AJ as a real test against the ultimate potential HW fight , Joshua V Usyk . If Usyk beats Takam and is a fighting force for the HW's then Wilder and Fury will be bumped down to numbers 3 and 4 for anyone . Sorry to all Fury and Wilder fans but Usyk and Joshua are far better boxers with far more longevity and both have more proven boxing records and abilities .

Where's that puny Usyk!? He needs to be thrown into the lion's den, and disposed of immediately after that Hunter is dealt with. These cruiserweights can't compete against these huge behemoths.
