Ron hit well enough but there is less filmed evidence of Lyles crushing knockouts over high caliber opposition like there is for Marciano. Think of a highlight reel of one punch finishes against Walcott and Layne. Seems reasonable to assume Rocky was the better puncher.
I don't think Frazier was more squared stanced than Rocky. If anything Rocky could get a bit wild and square up, and would be easy for Foreman to push around at those instances. And while George did indeed throw wide and sometimes telegraphed punches, not many was able to counter him very effectively and Marciano wasn't much of a counter puncher from what I've seen. In fact, he threw wide and often wild punches himself, so considering that he'd have to try and get into George's range I think it's more likely that George would counter him. And let's not forger Foreman's jab, which was very good in his first career as well and ramrod hard. He used it to great effect against both Chuvalo and Frazier. His lateral movement against these guys is also often forgotten about. He steps around them frequently and often gives a shove as he does, to get them off balance. All in all I think D'Amato had a point in saying that George was a nightmare for swarmers. I don't know if he'd destroy every swarmer who's ever lived, which were D'Amato's words I believe, but it would probably be true for Rocky imo.
Well mate you are a first class wanker , and there are several guys on here who hold that opinion. Know it and live with it! And the silly little twat who echoes you, B B is a Remora Fish I would be ashamed to have attached to me! This content is protected
News Flash . Exhibitions are not fights. You posted this crock of **** on this thread 1973 foreman has a size advantage no bigger than 1951 Joe Louis... ID .ID. ID. Louis 6'1.5" 213lbs reach 76" Foreman 6'3"224lbs reach78.5"
And it is all true. Joe Louis was knocking out guys in unlicensed fights. There is even film of it isn’t there? They only called them “exhibitions” because the gloves were bigger and no “official” verdict was given on the night. But as you know the Shkor fights were newspaper results the next day.
Foreman fought 3 times in 1973. 217 1/2 219 1/4 224 3/4 You picked the heaviest of the three. Which, in my opinion, is fair enough. But under the current rules of this thread you are guilty of ID.
