    Firpo steps down from challenging Jack and Gerry Cooney ,another giant ,is thrown in .
    Can Cooneys wrecking ball fists rip the title from Dempsey ?
    Or is Gerry in over his head again ?
    Personal pick is Dempsey by SAVAGE KO ..

    It would most likely be the exact same fight. Dempsey starts strong, Cooney gets a knockdown here and there, and Dempsey finishes him in the 2nd

    Cooney vs Firpo would be interesting. No clue who'd win that

    I'd say Dempsey in the same time frame, although he'd probably run into that hook and get Knocked Down

    Yep can see Jack having to climb up once or twice .Seeing it go slightly longer than Firpo thou ,but Dempsey s still stopping him

    SURE, an 80's Cooney (geez o pete!)!!! How about a 1920 Cooney?? How about a prime early 80's Dempsey against Cooney at the same time??
    And lastly (bwaahaaaa!!! :)) How about a prime 1920 Cooney against a prime 1980 Dempsey? LMAO!!!!

    Seen cooney workout and he could hit.....but he also couldn't duck a punch and had a glass chin....first or second punch dempsey lands would spell the end..

    I've seen Firpo fight. He couldn't do anything right but almost had Dempsey out.

    Dempsey would massacre Cooney, even if he was fighting reckless like he did against Firpo.

    Cooney at his best was on ****ing spaghetti legs spiralling to the canvas from one stiff right hand from Holmes.
    ... and I can't see Cooney getting up 8 times like Firpo did.
