Only 2 explanations. 1) he’s juicing and would have got caught, he’d probably never have fought again. Rather get a bit of money from fighting wilder again than none at all. The whole blame story is a cover. 2) they’ve already signed some sort of deal where he’ll fight wilder again and a load of warm up fights before it. He hasn’t exactly tested himself since the loss has he? Again, the blame story is a cover.

I really don't get it. 3 world titles up for grabs plus multi-millions, yet these guys are turning it down. Makes you wonder why they're in the sport in the first place. One of these idiots is going to seriously regret taking these offers. It's actually starting to look suspicious.

Even if his promoters lied and said Hearn offered less, it doesn't look good and doesn't explain why his promoters told him something that would kill the fight. If it's a cover story it's a horrible one. Guess it's possible he signed to fight Wilder again, but then why the excuses about not enough time, then saying it was up to his promoters, then the low ball lies, then saying their promoters didn't tell them the truth, just say they were committed to another Wilder fight so are not able to take it, that's what Kownacki did, said he'd already signed to fight someone else which turned out to be Helenius.
That's what I think too. It's why he refused to sign with Hearn and signed with Haymon instead and was close to securing the first Wilder fight even before he was mandated to fight Joshua. He's choosing the easier path to the title even if it means making less money. He sees Joshua as too big a risk even for the payday it would bring. Whyte now also saying Ortiz turned down £2 mill to fight him this summer. He's being offered record paydays yet still not stepping up against anyone other than Wilder. Don't think it will work out for him, he's only gotten older since the first fight and I think Wilder will beat him more convincingly 2nd time round.
Possibly but why bother juicing against the type of opposition he has faced since. He barely needs to train for that level of opponent.
