Whoa Fury Wlad is this the same fight where Fury actually was praying for the decision ? Fury never really landed much , yes he disrupts and moves well but there is actually very little to root for him in a fight he feints to much and does not land very much . Look at Hughie and Parker in their fight same thing Hughie moved well but did very little in actual boxing .

It's still on his resume , Chisora also took a loss before rematching Whyte but we all could see he was in great shape .

In FACT everyone that Joshua fought that people thought were done ended up looking great bc they had to.

I'm not even sure how the fight looks between Whyte in 2015 if that scuffle doesn't happen at the end of round 1 bc I believe it helped Whyte by taking AJ out of his relaxed state.

i would argue Whyte had to really work to win rounds off Parker , Joshua barely broke a sweat and knew a Wilder fight was next ....so he thought and took minimum risk.

Whyte is on Joshua resume , it could be 2015 or 2019 ....the OP has created a thread one can't argue just in that.

Whyte has improved more then Joshua but Joshuas style isn't really needing of it much ....He's basically just adding ring savvy to himself and that comes with fights.

Whyte still needs work. He's really not the finished article and is 5 fights from his own peak and knows it too.

In regards to Cornish your right but you got to think about it then , both Cornish and AJ were undefeated at the time and many thought allsorts for this fight . No one expected 60 secs KO for AJ . You gotta think about the time and standing of it . Same with Martin everyone was saying Martin , Fury and Wilder were the best in the division for a while . Hard to believe I know but it was believed back then . AJ has turned the entire division around . Have you seen Fury talking about AJ before AJ turned pro or even won the Olympics ?

Fury easily UD’d a 10 year undefeated champion in front of his own fans.

Then sang some karaoke afterwards, barely broke a sweat.

Anthony Joshua had only 21 Amateur fights this is back in 2011 . Tyson Fury was a top 10 professional HW at the time . Please listen to the entire video and what Fury says .

This is probably the same fury that ‘had no chance’ against wlad because he was put on his arse by USS and pajkic.

Well, I feel the need to emphasize the difference from 2015, because Whyte is at a handicap against many of these fighters with decorated experience that don't really evolve much - just fine tune as you put it with AJ.

I don't agree that Whyte is 5 fights away from Peak, I believe its less, like 2 fights away max. After the Parker fight Whyte knew he wasn't quite ready... and he made VERY decent improvement following on with the Chisora rematch.

Maybe it's just me but I was mightily impressed at his composure, patience and shot selection in the rematch. Whyte is almost there and improves so much with each fight.

Rivas fight will be an interesting watch and we can learn more but he is looking in very bad shape at the presser. I have no idea what's going there and he better fix up immediately with ten weeks to go.

His last fight he was in best shape, 247 lean.

Is this what your saying ? Here is Fury actually talking about AJ and no mention of Body Building talk but genuine appreciation for the man and his abilities . Come on Eggman be honest who is your current HW man .

Whyte went to war with Chisora, ****ing Chisora. Almost reminds me of audley vs Danny Williams level. A younger Chisora got destroyed by haye who wouldn’t even be a top 4 HW today.

I don’t see how whyte is relevant. He doesn’t have skills, doesn’t have size and his power is overrated (again look at what CW Hayes power did to Chisora). He gets destroyed by all 3 and probably by Povetkin and Usyk too. Ortiz would beat him too. He’s not even top 6.

Chisora has a funny career and has outlasted Haye and many other fighters and is still ranked top 10 . Chisora is hard to actually quantify and pin down . He seems to get better with age and pulls off shocking fights and upsets .

I would rate the current heavyweights (personal opinion)

    1- fury
    2- Joshua
    3- whyte
    4- wilder

Although I rate fury no.1 (should be wbc champ) I would worry about him surviving Joshua when he suddenly picks a round to go all guns blazing ala wlad fight. Furys lack of power is worrying.

I hear you man . I use to like Fury after he went downhill I lost a lot of respect for the man . I think he is his own worse enemy and he sometimes cannot keep his head straight and knuckle down when he needs too .

To be fair to Fury his power will only increase . When losing all that weight your lose strength for a few months but it does return . I'm ex-military and knew guys that basically went on emergency weight loss , it does effect power output for a few months while dieting like that and Fury clearly went on emergency weight loss . Fury has the best engine in the division , he never gasses out or runs out of gas never had that problem for Fury , I rate him for it .

Now if Fury becomes the best he ever been and gets 100% and faces AJ , I gotta go with AJ for the following reasons , its got nothing to do with power . It's to do with the initiative I do not believe Fury can seize the reins of the fight and keep AJ on the backstep I think AJ is too sharp with his punch output , he throws rapid quick-fire combos that are straight and tight . I think when Fury feints jab (what he does best) it will not be enough , I think AJ will keep one foot ahead and repeatedly catch Fury , very similar to when Breazeale started throwing jabs in the 7th round to AJ , also AJ cuts people off very well something which very few people notice . AJ cuts people off and unleashes hell it's how he destroys every opponent pretty much with the exception of Parker who AJ wanted to outbox and said he would turn it into a boxing match not a slugfest .

This is why Fury Joshua will not happen until next year , Fury is not dodging AJ he is in fact taking him seriously . When Fury fought Wilder I had Fury for a KO win , I know even at his worse Fury is a far superior boxer than Wilder and Fury embarrassed Wilder at Cali . Which really tells everyone how much Fury rates Wilder .

It's Fury's nonsense I cannot stand anymore , when he starts talking nonsense to save pride . Just over a year ago he said the Ring Magazine Belt was the only true belt , then when The Ring was dissolved he jumped to Lineal all of a sudden , I know Fury needs some claim and he was the man who freed the division and it's good having him back , I'm just not jumping the gun with him and he can easily slip back down again , so relying on Fury in HW boxing is pretty dangerous .

Whyte did not KD legitimately Parker. It was purely illegal and should be penalized for that and also lost that fight because of that.
And can we first wait for Whyte to beat Rivas and then talk ?

Even if you don't count the first KD against Parker as legitimate, the second one certainly was.

There was two knockdowns from whyte. One was a clear butt, one was legit.
