The freakishly tall Siamese light middleweight ATG S.A.R.P.A.H. (that is, Slayer of Africans with Records Padded At Home) is at it again. Nakhon Phanam, a week from tomorrow.

It will be the fourth time in five bouts the man known as "Teerachai" will he facing an opponent hailing from Sub-Saharan domains...and seventh in his career. The southpaw from Tanzania ran him closer than any of his other African opponents (including former world rankings mainstay Kaiser Mabuza), still losing a wide decision but dropping Kiram early.

If this ends up being a duplicate result, I'd like to see Kiram - whose only defeat has come at the stone hands of faded but still dangerous Argentine former 140lb contender Lucas Matthysse - to venture beyond his shores once more for a cash-out freak-show match-up with another super welter giant...namely Sebastian Fundora. :deal: Or, you know, he could just keep importing (and mostly kayoing) a parade of Africans, Indonesians, and other no-hopers from miscellaneous points on the globe.

I hope the TV issue in Thailand gets better.

I’d guess it’d be on channel 3 SD if it’s not on a Saturday. I think there’s a holiday for the next week or so for the king’s coronation (until the 7th) so I’m not sure how much news we’ll get on that front but I’ll post in here if I find out it is indeed being broadcast

The Thai will be up against Tanzania's Ramadhani Shauri(25-14-1, 13) with the bout being held at the Bangkok Thonburi University, and will be televised on Channel 28SD starting at 14:25 local time.

...currently 1:20pm in Nakhom Phanom, so this will be airing live at 3:25am EST next Thursday.

I tried wrapping my head around Google's clunky automated translations of the "hot news" page on Thairec.com hoping to find out about the undercard (since BoxRec is useless when it comes to cards in Thailand, generally not listing the bouts fully until the day or even week after the fact), but as usual it gave me a headache and wasn't very informative. :ohno

Just me or is that site just a nightmare to navigate? Even putting aside being a non-speaker of the language, the web design and layout (and lack of a search functionality) is just bananas.

This Ramadhan Tondora fella must be the busiest boxer in the world. There's several fighters that have said they'll fight X or Y after Ramadhan and plenty more that are observing him so are probably sizing him up as an opponent.

This is the fairly reliable stream we probably will all end up watching on come the wee hours of Thursday morning:
    http://tv.guchill.com/live/redirect2.php

And here's confirmation of it being penciled in on the channel's programming lineup:
    http://www.ch3thailand.com/ผังรายการช่อง3/?date=09-05-2019&ch=sd

"14.25 - 16.25 Live broadcast of the World Boxing Championship WBA ASIA. Watch only in Thailand."

Two-hour broadcast, so there will be at least some undercard or a complementary match at the very least (of course still leaving room for plenty of advert-card passing and ceremony)

Main event ring walks probably around 1530 local time (4:30am EST/9:30am GMT)

We appear to still be on like Donkey Kong ...or, uh, Pongsaklek Wonkongkam. :D

The fight in January was absolutely dreadful so I’m not sure I’m going to watch this card in its entirety live but I’ll post any Facebook streams if I happen to come across them.

Darn, I slept through it.

The result isn't up on BoxRec yet (of course) but there is a write-up on ThaiRec:
    http://www.thairec.com/home/79408.html

(although it still leaves the method of victory a little murky, especially with the shoddy and indecipherable job Google does of translating from Thai)

Kiram then called out Humberto Soto, apparently!
