Really surprised how long this is taking to announce. They had Takam in straight away when Pulev pulled out.

To be fair. The IBF make things really simple. As he was ranked #2, Takam was always going to be the only opponent that the IBF would allow to replace Pulev in that fight.

With voluntaries, it's rare for replacement opponents to be sorted out in advance.

I think they had a good feeling pulev would pull out because he blatantly didn't want a piece of Joshua, where as Miller was up for it probably because he's loaded with gear.

That's because iFL is the unofficial PR wing of Matchroom. I refuse to watch the junk on there on principle.

Proper, independent incisive boxing journalism is a rare thing these days. It's been largely replaced in its print form by YT toadies who gladly clickbait A) for more likes, views and subscribers = ad revenue B) lest they get their press passes revoked.

This is why Tyan Booth is something of an anti-hero. It's actually a refreshing change from the PR gloss.

Dross like iFL is IMHO a large part of why we are getting served up such horsehit on these shores of late. With their vast viewership, they are able to influence casuals that cards that would have been panned years ago are now worth shelling out for.

There are some angles out there that really need answering at the moment in boxing. For example PED's, the fade-away post-London Olympics, the investment (or lack of) in the amateur scene to name but 3. And what do we get....let's ask Eddie about his latest DAZN strategy.

    It’s not really.

The truth is Kugan is a big **** house and doesn’t want to upset anyone. There’s been times when he should’ve questioned Hearn, times when he should’ve questioned Frank but he just doesn’t do it.

Joshua sells PPVs. Ruiz is about as good an opponent as there can be. He does not have the greatest body, but is a cutie and may cause issues for a while.

£20 for a night in is a bargain, I do not get the fuss. As I have said in the past, I remember the Closed Circuit shows, now that was a nightmare, PPV is a brilliant alternative.

Kugan is a gossip ***** but sadly his interviews do get views. When you see him interview Matchroom employees, all he asks is "'Ere, does Ed ever shout at you guys then, what's he really like then?" . That's about his level of intellect.

He sat there for half an hour with the Eddie Hearn wannabe, Frank Smith a few days ago, and took the mick out of some poor girl. It wasn't even funny.

He's also too afraid to question Warren and too much of a gossip ***** to talk about real subjects with Eddie Hearn.

He also gatecrashes any interview his IFL colleagues are doing just so he doesn't get left completely out of the limelight.

    Proper tosspot is Kugan.

Spunking money on an overpriced dominoes sounds more appealing.

There is a marked difference in his rapport and questioning with both. I suggest you look and analyse closer.

Agreed. The fact he essentially sets the scene with regards to boxing "journalism" is telling.

I was hoping David Price was getting that long awaited title shot. People forget what he did to the bodybuilder, in sparring. Left him badly shaken up, twitching on the canvas apparently.

That's another reason why Prince Patel is a true legend.
He did 2 interviews with Kugan and upset the **** out of him.
