Well he said as much didn’t he?Joshua on commentary couldn’t understand why he didn’t finish him early and to be fair his tactics were spot on.
That more reflection on how poor Wilder is. Rivas is better than Breazeale, a guy who went life and death with Kassi. Whyte (despite being one of my favourite characters in boxing) shouldn't be praised due to turning the AJ fight.
Parker was boxing the ears off him until he got headbutted (not deliberately, but it clearly shook the hell out of him)... took most of the fight to recover and get himself together and then STILL practically earned a KO in the last round, Whyte instead being allowed to hold himself up using all the things.
Right so Whyte basically did nothing in the fight. Whyte just got extremely lucky every round. Parker deserved the win yeah? No credit at all for Whyte. Please share some more bias and hate with us... go on.
Why would u respect him for fighting a midget in his next fight? he could have fought Ortiz or Povetkin, but he took a no-name opponent.
It was a tough fight for both, I liked how Parker come out in the first, fast and hard, but the head clash left Parker looking confused, like what happened look, it imo affected him..They are very well matched though and I would expect a tough tough fight every time, there strengths mesh very well, I see in most of Whytes fights his shots hurt and cripple everyone, they go quiet, Parker did plenty of times, but hes tough enough, maybe the only man at heavy to be able to turn it round in the last. With the current top fellas, he just might be the best on his night Whyte, hes dangerous as ****
I've quietly become quite a fan of Whyte in the past year. He's got a gash personality and the intelligence of a turnip but he consistently challenges himself in tough fights and doesn't take BS from anyone. Rivas is just another in a long line of top ten/fifteen guys that Whyte doesn't need to fight, but is doing so because he's old school and doesn't believe in sitting on his ass waiting for opportunities to come to him. Anyone who wants the HW division to succeed can't hate on a fighter like that, whatever they might think of his personality or skills.
This was my impression also. People try to make out that Whyte struggled with Chisora the second time because he was apparently behind on the cards, but it looked to me like Whyte was always in control, and Chisora's moments came out of desperation while Whyte was just getting himself warmed up. It didn't come as any surprise when Whyte knocked him out TBH. That was the way the fight was going since the start.
Ortiz doesn't want to fight anyone good, and who cares about that old f***er anyway? He's irrelevant.
I don't mind Whyte. He had no reason to turn down the Joshua fight though, people act as if Eddie was offering him 50p.
Actually it was Joshua who acted like he was only going to get 50p if he gave Whyte what he wanted. Joshua was like, "Yeah I still gotta make a penny at the end of the day" on not offering Whyte more. When the split would have been like: Joshua = 24 Mill Whyte = 6 Mill Rematch: Joshua = 20 Mill Whyte = 10 Mill Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh..... Joshua wasn't going to make a "Penny" Mhmmm... *Rolls Eyes*
Rivas was not better then the Mansour of years ago. Certainly not more effective then a 6'7 HW capable of taking guys out like Izu who is better Rivas as well.
