Both were solid, athletic contenders that happened to have a little too much hype surrounding them. Eubank most likely walks around at the high 170s so size isn't an issue here. Let's say, Eubank from the Groves fight versus LaStarza from the Marciano fight. 15 rounds. Will Eubank continue his trend of having issues against boxers with solid fundamentals? Or does Eubank overwhelm LaStarza?
I certainly think a Froch level fighter takes Lastarza. Probably even Eubank Sr. but Jr. wasn't that good... at all.
Probably most posters have been skipping this one, as it makes little sense. I mean, why on earth pick Jr. in his absolute poorest performance? My first reaction was (shared by Seamus, I now see)… why not Sr. instead? That would at least be slightly interesting.
Because Jr seems to have a problem with pure boxers wheras Sr had none, I thought it'd add a depth to the debate
