Who wins??? Andy "Snickers" Ruiz vs the 52 year old Larry Holmes, that fought butterbean ??? This content is protected Here's Ruiz sparring ancient Holyfield This content is protected
Ruiz is to a sharp puncher , Ruiz himself would give prime Holmes a test bc of quick tricky parrys and we saw that with Parker who Holmes advised briefly. Butterbean hits harder but he doesn't have the actual boxing brain and Ruiz abilities to put shots together behind a jab is night and day.
Ruiz. But 52 year old Larry Holmes was in better shape than ruiz witch is funny when you think about it.
Larry muthalovin Holmes to win!! Ruiz gets death by the jab. Even at 52 Holmes was sharp with the jab.
Ruiz catches jabs before slowly busting the crap out of Larry, Larry sets a record for holding the top rope while trying to spear the aggressor to no avail
I'd favour the 45 year old Holmes that fought McCall to old man Ruiz and win on points but at 52 years of age that's just too much to expect. Though I expect Holmes to go the distance and make Ruiz look bad.
Im going to say it. Larry Holmes at 52 has a decent chance to beat Andy Ruiz. His handspeed and jab even at 52 was pretty damn good and showed some decent mobility against Butterbean. Butterbean would get destroyed by Ruiz of course and Ruiz is a much better pressure fighter but their footspeed is actually somewhat comparable and Butterbean himself possesed impressive handspeed for a morbidly obese guy. If this fight hypothetically took place i think it would be 60/40 favoring Ruiz. Holmes style is just a nightmare for Ruiz, so he'd do good even at 52
No offense but who are (as I type this) the 7 peeps who voted for Holmes? I was #8 for Andy. Ruiz could give 32 y/o Holmes a tough fight, vs. 52 y/o Holmes Ruiz catches up to Larry and stops him
