Álvarez is creeping forward, guard up, not throwing yet. Jacobs rowing out a few jabs stepping to Álvarez, then circling halfway around the ring, stopping on a time, changing directions. Jacobs continues to zigzag while Álvarez wades in and tries a high left hook, blocked as Jacobs sways outward. 1-2 by Jacobs, blocked. Right on the body from Álvarez, grazing, Jacobs knocked off-balance as he was getting up on his toes, momentarily laying on the ropes and buoying himself off to his left. Álvarez is jabbing high and spearing rights into the flank, below Jacobs' left elbow. Jacobs pops a light triple jab to stay Álvarez, but then gives up his position and fortifies a new one against the ropes, lining up a counter 1-2 landing when Álvarez walks in. Nice jabs from Jacobs, switching to southpaw, then orthodox again in the course of a few lateral steps. Álvarez is halfway darting inside, body-feinting, not pulling trigger.
