I had it 7-5 but did not really think it was that competitive, based on the 12-round whole. I thought the scorecards were good and hope we will not be subjected to this again.
Overall Canelo was slightly better in a close competitive fight. There might have been a fairly legitimate way to give Jacobs 6 rounds and a draw, but we know that wasn't going to happen. Decent fight, and a little bit of drama with Jacobs probably winning the second half of the fight.
7-5 Danny, but 6-6 or 7-5 Canelo is fine as well. For all of you petulant biased agenda having twats, stop it and grow up, this was no schooling, and.... with the exception of that 116-112 card, this was no robbery. It was once again, a razor close fight that could go either way. Here's the reality. Canelo, GGG and Jacobs are all evenly matched and 8 out of 10 matches between all of them would in all likelihood probably be close. GGG, Canelo and Jacobs fans need to acknowledge that.
Canelo won! Jacobs was unleashing ineffective flurries. He was fighting scared! The announcers sucked because every time canelo landed they were talking about other things.
At this point in Canelo career he's gonna fight similar to Floyd did in his later career.. If the opponent dont force him to put it in second gear the he'll just coast to an almost guaranteed victory.. Danny should have stepped on the gas but he didn't just as he did vs. GGG, Arias, Sulecki and Derevyanchenko..
Nothing like mayweather. Mayweather clearly outboxed and separated. Canelo does not. Shitty comparison
Verdict is that Jacobs is inferior to both GGG and Canelo as a boxer. He is also a ridiculous weight bully making Canelo look like a minor offender on that account. Jacobs had significant size and reach advantage over both and still couldn't dominate them. Furthermore, Martin Murray dropped Jacobs in the amateurs, mentioned it just recently, so I'll stick that in there because why not.
Maybe i didnt explain it right.. Against Guerrero, Madiana II, Berto, Baldomir, etc.. the opponents never gave floyd a reason to go into second gear.. The never pressed the fight enough for him to work.. Canelo didn't have to go in second gear for this fight Danny should have pressed more especially with Canelo knowing he's gonna get the benefit on the scorecards.. You cant tell me you didn't watch this fight and felt like Canelo can give way more than he did tonight..
