Canelo edged it. But wasn't hugely impressed by him. Not sure if he actually got scored the last 2 rounds but from what I saw he did just enough there to edge it as was pretty even going into them for me.
Canelo won a close one again, looked like he was going to pull away around the middle of the fight but Jacobs brought it and almost caught up in the 2nd half of the fight.
canelo just edged it with a return to his more typical stalking forward style. The win proves that Canelo is number 1 MW now, and also proves Jacobs was a good contender, though not a solid titlist nor elite. Canelo seemed a little restrained, cruising through some of this.
No way can I see Jacobs even getting a draw there... let alone a win. Canelo gave him a boxing lesson in quite a few rounds... let alone close ones he edged. That was two different levels imo.
I'll watch it again tomorrow but I thought a couple of 'Danny's rounds' he only worked in the last minute. Canelo had the better of him for the first 2 minutes.
I have no idea how anyone had Jacobs winning. Jacobs did have a bit more success in the second half but still not anywhere near enough to win. Very surprised at JMMs scorecard. Wtf was he watching
lets see if thats true Gennady 115-112, 115-112, 114-113, 7 point higher Canelo 115-113, 115-113, 116-112, 8 point higher. ok so yes, slightly better win by Canelo, though Gennady did get a knockdown.
The only three clear rounds were to Jacobs. Every other round was very close. Hard to score but as soon as the final bell landed the result was a foregone conclusion.
