There is a problem in play when every time there is a remotely close decision it always goes one way. Floyd Mayweather had 2 close decision fights (Castillo & Maidana) and people lose their minds that he got awarded them. Yet, Canelo has been awarded every single close fight he has been in, and also awarded fights that he has very clearly lost (GGG 1). When you have so many decisions in this manner it stinks of corruption and foul play. Trout Mayweather ("draw" card LOL) Lara GGG x2 Jacobs Tonight's fight was not a robbery, but it was a very close fight. With that said, everyone knew before the fight where the decision would be going. This is the problem. Once again, Canelo is an elite level fighter, with an elite level of protection. He is legitimately a top P4P fighter and possible ATG, he doesn't need this type of protection because it only takes away from him how good he is. An honest loss on your record looks better than a fake "win" that people deride and mock you for. This is why Canelo does not get the respect from a large number of fans. Getting a win on the record and still having the broadcasters/promoters/venues having the money rolling means too much to fighters these days.
