His lack of size has nothing to do with his ranking. He's clearly a top 10 HW. Just go and look at the top 20 HW's in the world. I've never been a huge fan of Parker, but he's a top 10 HW today. There's some great characters in the division, but overall, it's pretty weak.
I'm not going to pointlessly go round and round with you, but he has given no indication that he should be ranked as a top 10 hw. His biggest achievement was a loss against a lower top 10 HW. So, by that logic, shouldn't you rank White Wolf as a top 10 HW? He had an even closer fight against Ruiz than Ruiz had against Parker. The body of Ruiz's work just isn't remotely at top ten level. Never beat a top 25 HW and lost to the only one he faced. Nearly lost against shot to **** White Wolf. Was losing against Hamer until Hamer's glass heart broke. Beat fringe top 30 guy Dimitrenko soundly, but Dimitrenko also has a glass heart; you never know when he is actually trying or not. Tons of active HW's have a better resume than Ruiz, (Fury, AJ, Wilder, Ortiz, Whyte, Povetkin, Pulev, Miller, Kownacki, Parker, Big Dom, Chisora, Rivas, Jennings, Takam, Spilzka, Kayabel, Hrgovic, among others) I'm actually giving him the benefit of the doubt that he is fringe top 20.
Stupid thread. AJ was scheduled to face top 10 ranked Miller before Miller screwed that up. Deontaaaaaay is fighting his mando who happens to be AJ leftovers.
Another person who misses the point. I'm not criticizing AJ. Just commenting that Wilder is finally facing good comp in comparison to the other top HWs. I'm guessing you don't give Wilder any credit for being willing to face Povetkin, why should AJ get credit for Miller? The opponent he actually is facing isn't as good. Nothing AJ did wrong, its just a statement of fact.
The drooling fanboy responses anytime Wilder or Joshua gets mentioned are a trip. Some posters' entire identities on here are dedicated to shitting on one or the other. The OP wasn't criticizing AJ or Fury, just pointing out an amusing and unintentional fact as the first choice for both DW & AJ fell through.
Joshua was originally fighting the toughest opponent. Can't criticize the fact that his opponent was a moron and got popped with every PED except gamma radiation.
Yeah it is odd that Wilder is actually facing some opposition for once . When your a Wilder fan and watch Stiverne , Washington and Molina take you almost the distance . Facing credible opponents might seem a little strange to Wildettes .
