    I was back and forth after it got made, but I'd finally settled on Ryder, based on his southpaw stance and far better control of range, and recent pinpoint accuracy of his shots on the inside, he'd make David pay anything he tried to close the distance, and quite frankly, I think David's punch resistance is fading. I think Ryder would hurt him, like Saunders did on several occasions, but unlike Billy, Ryder would go all out and press for the KO and get it.

    I'm not sure about that, I wouldn't be surprised if John beat Callum. For me Ryder is more proven, more experienced , more seasoned. Certainly if they were the same size id make Ryder favourite.

    Seems to have developed a bit more pop in his punches at super middleweight he picked his shots really nicely as well last night.

    That being said I still think Smith will deal with him comfortably, he gets caught too easily even in the 3 rounds it was clear to see. He has a decent chin but with someone like Smith unloading on him it's hard not see him getting KO'd.

    But I got nothing against the guy and wish him all the best.

    There's a lot to like about Ryder and the 2.0 version is definitely a different animal to his earlier years. He's getting close to being one of the main players at 168 IMO and even though there are fights he'd be the underdog in, he'd be a live underdog in any fight. Somebody else described him as fighting angry and I totally agree with that. He has that mean streak in him in the ring (seems like a really sound guy as a person), has a new found power in his punches and must be horrible to fight against. Rough, tough, dangerous with high energy and output. His size is probably his biggest disadvantage at 168, but as the old saying goes, it's not the size of the dog in the fight that counts, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

    There's Plenty of fights I'd like to see him in next. Fielding, Eubank, Lemieux would all be good choices and fights I'd pick him to win in. If he gets a win of that calibre then he's knocking on the door of a title shot.

    @IntentionalButt Even though it was at Middleweight, for what its worth, the Fielding robbery was at least competitive, the Arnfield loss however, that was probably one of the worst robberies of 2016. It was close to if not a shutout performance from him. Here's Chuck and I's scorecards for it. And one of N17's comments.

    Eh, what's your point exactly? Nobody is saying that Ryder's last four consecutive opponents have been the cream of the crop. The reason people are optimistic about Gorilla 2.0 is the way he looks, how easily and brutally he's dispatching this level of competition, not just the fact that he's beating them. He also has victories over Khomitsky, Etches, Godoy, and then-unbeaten O'Kane... and should have wide decision victories over Rocky Fielding and Jack Arnfield...not to mention he gave Billy Joe Saunders a fight that still ranks among the hardest of his career. So please knock it off with your sly underhanded digs. Nobody is claiming that Ryder has some ATG résumé ...but he is still an exciting fighter and has improved from a moderate Commonwealth/Euro level threat at middleweight to a fringe world level threat at super middle, h2h. And there's plenty of evidence to back it up, and the collective opinions of people that KSAB waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than you do.
