Being someone who has actually boxed before i know a sparring session when i see it! You can take a dive without being knocked out. Maybe the modern boxing fan is used to guys coasting to a safe UD but there was a time when guys would lay it on the line everytime out!
I am serious but people are so brainwashed nowadays! Fighters aren't what they used to be at all! Nether are the fans from what im learning here!
No, the fight wasn't rigged, but I've never seen Jacobs Jab this lazy and weak. Right from the get go, it's not like he got countered early and was wary. I think the event got to him, he came on later in the fight.
I don’t think that as both guys were swinging hard and early on every shot from Canelo looked like it could KO Jacobs, what perplexes me though and I said this today is why Jacobs and Golovkin stopped throwing in round 11 x12.That said Canelo is very cute and knows when to go for it and when to ease off, maybe it’s just that as Canelo is that good against both it looked like that he could outbox his opponents at will.
I think he was wary early on and to me it looked Canelo hurt him, ordinarily it would be a good game plan to wait for the other guy to gas but not against Canelo where every round is needed.
Yeah, this is what people always forget. It happened sometimes in the olden times, but it just doesn't make financial sense in the modern era with earnings the way they are.
Look I’m with you and if folk don’t believe it goes on then they’re naive but I don’t believe this fight was rigged.
I know in Snooker it’s usually those on the fringes that don’t earn the big money who tend to get involved in throwing games and I dare say it’s the same in boxing.
Suddenly? I said his last three fights! Oh and I agree that Canelo outboxed him, but the subject here was the contention that Jacobs had thrown the fight...
Yeah, guys not in line for a title shot I could see. No one who could actually get a title shot is going to throw away that kind of money.
okay well the whole point is he didn't try to win strange when its the biggest chance he has ever had in his life! But, either way y'all saw a fight I saw a script from the fight to everything the presenters were saying about Canelo its a dirty business boxing!
Then both guys must have been in on it, Don't think so. Jacobs was tentative and Canelo decided not to push his luck and try to stop him. Neither one did anything to throw the fight on purpose, that's absurd
