I’m a big krusher fan no doubt
Even tho I was mad at him for the stupid arrest
Canelo is an excellent body puncher
Kov doesn’t like it to the body
Can Canelo nice up to 175 and take Kovalev out?
Kov is not much bigger than Jacobs frame wise

Not on a level playing field... But I suspect that there will be a monster of a Canelo Rehydration Clause if that fight were to happen...

171.5 catch weight kov gets stopped
At 173 kov has a chance

Canelo is battle tested proven , whereas Kovelev has shown a tendency to wilt under pressure...

The step up in weight would be a factor for sure, but I still think Canelo wears him.down and stops Kovelev in humiliating fashion

Already Canelo imposes rehydration clauses on Jacobs and Fielding, he may not risk taking a Kovalev weighing at least 185 pounds in the ring.

That would be very impressive if he were to do so

No! Big difference between light heavy and middle.

if canelo manages to see the final bell, he'll get the decision. Canelo can beat wilder and joshua he just needs to to run for 12 rounds and land some decent bodyshots here and there. Nobody. An beat him not evwn muhamed ali

Bridge way too far for Canelo, he won that fight the other night but didn’t look impressive at all.

Kov and Jacobs have the same dimensions.
Kov is not the slickest guy
Canelo can land to that body
I think he has a chance
Of course kov hits MUCH harder than Jacobs and GGG

That last part will be the difference. I rate Canelo’s chin but 175 will be too much. Smith beats him at 168 too.

Kovalev is taller than the 6'0 he's listed at. He has one of the hardest jabs in the game right now. Rocked ward with it and he snaps heads back with ease. If Kovalev just focuses on boxing he would give Canelo hell. Not only does Kovalev have a heavier jab than Triple G, but he is also faster. I don't see a Canelo win if Kovalev isn't drained.

All depends GK you're right about the body punches but if Kovalev was on it like in the first Ward fight he'd just keep the fight at his range with his masterful jab and Canelo to his credit is such a clean fighter I don't think he would do what Ward did and make it smelly and to be sure that was the only thing Ward could do that night to win rounds as Kovalev was so good at range.

Where Kova is better than Jacobs is his outside game. Kovalev's 1-2's have KOed legit LHW's. Canelo would have to take some serious fire to land body shots.

Boom exactly right.Seems incredible how a middleweight champ in Jacob's doesn't really possess the most important tool on a boxers arsenal but imo it was noticeable that when he finally started doubling up on the jab to Canelos head and body he started to have success.
Kovalev lost the plot after his loss to Ward but on his night he would outbox Canelo imo.
