Canelo beats Jacobs = Canelo P4P N.1 // Golovkin beats Jacobs = G is overrated

GGG won the first Canelo won 2nd nuff said

 

Bothers me and to be sure it would of bothered me had Canelo lost on the cards the other night.
Bothers me that we can never be sure of what we are watching anymore and 're Golovkin it may not bother many simply because so many called it and expected it.
Myself I was naive enough to think the scoring would ok lol

A fair minded person wouldn’t claim GGG beat Canelo twice let alone clearly.

I thought he did beat him,,,but uh, geez I've seen more heated sparring sessions than that fight. Canelo didn't really have to do a whole lot because Jacobs didn't make him have to do much. As a quality fight, it ranks about a C.

 

Oh I'm liking that,what that doesn't show is how many pro Canelo channels,journalists ect scored it for Golovkin.
Steve Bunce and Teddy Atlas both picked Canelo to win and both had Golovkin winning.
Only yesterday the BBC called "Canelos controversial decision" this isn't a select bunch of Canelo haters on a forum this is the BBC lol.

 

The difference is that Golovkin and Jacobs went to war and then ... Canelo and Jacobs sparred a bit and went out for an ice cream together afterwards.

Compubox stats for either fight:

Canelo Jacobs (188) 466 / (131) 649
GGG / Jacobs (231) 615 / (175) 541

400+ landed punches in the GGG/DJ fight and 319 in the Jacobs / Canelo fight.

It's clear that the Jacobs / Golovkin fight was much more bruising.

 

In fact it is some minority 3G fans who overrate Jacobs as an elite, not the contender/lucky one off titlist he is, whereas Canelo fans treat him as he is , a transient titlist.

they both beat him,so can beat a number 1 contender.
The other difference is 3G takes 12 years to do it,Canelo does it in his 2nd/3rd SMW opponent.

 

The reason is that GGG had no other big names on his resume. One win over Jacobs didn't make him P4P. Where as Canelo added Jacobs to an already stacked resume

 

People forget Jacobs was over 10lbs heavier in the GGG fight

Canelo fans here or elsewhere still don’t have a good argument for this information thrown in their face.

The best they had so far is “the press is clueless”. How desperate...
