Canelo is an elite fighter now. When he fought Floyd he was still questionable as an elite. Still not developed.

Like i said earlier your opinion is irrelevant the history books boxing publications and sport websites have already spoken and he's the best of the era. You just don't like him probably because he beat your favorite fighters easily and kept proving you wrong time and time again. I guess if i was a pbf hater id be mad and bitter to. Lmfao

Canelo was elite at 154 he beat trout who was elite at 154 who beat cotto who was elite at 154 and a p4p fighter. canelo held a world title at 154 ffs and had over 40 fights when he fought pbf. Stop it! If canelo wasnt elite then pbf was shot when they fought.

17 it keeps getting younger and younger. If you want to play that game then pbf was 44 when they fought and shot as ****.

He made him lose weight to weaken him. He handpicked Canelo. You know what I mean by elite. A top fighter at the time he was not. Floyd handpicked and that will always be his legacy. It sucks be he created that reputation..

It isn't about me. I am just saying what I feel. His reputation is about handpicking and constructing an undefeated record and holding up his money and bragging about it. That was more important than being a great fighter by fighting everyone as they came. He didn't beat anyone I really liked specifically. My era is more Hagler/Hearns/Leonard, that is the era I love. Floyd is the opposite of that era. I don't like or dislike Floyd. I just see what his agenda was. All about him and constructing an image.

    1. Canelo challenged him
    2. Canelo challenged him to 150 lbs, they settled at 152. Canelo fough at 153 vs Trout, the weight issue was bogus.
    3. Floyd kicked the living snot out of him that time and would ANY TIME!!
    4. Floyd is far better than Pea!

Sorry MVC if they were still in the same weight class and the fact Floyd fought Canelo before Canelo's prime doesn't make his current performances have any relevance to Floyd..

I would say at Middleweight Floyd would have been pummelled by this Canelo..

    Stupid thread even for you....

Sweetpea was greater in my mind. He didn't handpick at the right time. Floyd's whole reputation is handpicking.

Yup. It's the last couple of pounds that kills you. Clenelo was a 168 lb fighter trying to make 152. No wonder he was finished. Now he's doing the same to Danny Jacobs et al. Fluid taught him well.

If Floyd fought this version of Canelo at 160 he'd get his ish pushed in so deep he'd need a spelunking crew to take a #2.

    SMH,
Its always the same thing with some of you guys.

"Floyd is ducking and scared to fight <insert said fighter here>"
<Floyd makes fight and wins by WIDE UD>

"Floyd did <insert various excuses here as to why said boogyman lost the fight>"

Just give the man credit and keep it moving. You guys were the same people saying Floyd was scared to fight a young champion like Canelo. Then when he wins, the same thing you said he was scared of, you now use as something to discredit the win.

No **** he's sacred to fight young hungry guys damn near shuts Canelo out at 36 past his best in his 5th weight class. If GGG had done that to Canelo then he would have been the greatest fighter who ever lived in their eyes. But with PBF the excuses roll it's the same thing with these guys for every PBF opponent. They can never just say the man was the best give him his due and move on. PBF has ruined some of their lives and they will never get over it. I'm not a Wlad fan but I can say him along with Lewis were the two best HWs of their era give him his due and move on. I don't need to try to discredit every one of his opponents and **** on the man in every thread about him. There is some real deep seeded hate going on here.
