I cant get over how bad Froch's boxing knowledge is for someone who was world level. His 10/10 scorecards are stupidly cringe. Cant bear when he is on sky sports he is the worst out the pack and he does have some stiff competition

Froch and Groves are doing one of they speaking events together, with a Q+A, a dinner and what have you. Is this the beginning of them plugging a potential trilogy? I hope not. I was a massive fan of Froch as a fighter and wanted him to beat Groves at the time. I then went on to become a big fan of Groves too in the following years. So as someone who was a big fan of both, I still have no real desire to see a third fight. They should leave it as it is.

Ah maybe this is just to shift those tickets? Froch has previously sounded completely at peace with his retirement and spoke of the last camp being gruelling and a sign it was time to stop. Both men are financially secure and each have nothing to prove after their careers concluded. Groves was looking shop worn towards the end and I was pleased he called it a day and left on his own terms. So hopefully this is all just talk centred around their speaking event and Carl's appetite for mischief.

Groves always went up to about 14 and half stone inbetween fights and then made 12 stone. I don’t know what yous are on about his weight for. Also, he would only have to make 175.

If it happens, Groves should kill him because I’m in the minority who believes he wasn’t even finished when he lost to Smith. He just came across an absolute beast for the weight.

Groves would make 175 easily and has a lot more in the tank than Froch. I actually hope it happens, just to shut Carl up for five minutes.

Would Froch even risk his new nose by fighting again?

I agree with you, people forget before CS he had just had one of his best wins against Eubank Jr. and for all of the criticisms you can make about Eubank Jr’s boxing ability (which is average to decent imo) the guys is a supreme athlete, shot fighters don’t beat him regardless of technical boxing ability you also need to be good condition just look at Degale vs Eubank Jr ! Degale is/was streets ahead ability wise but his body was truly shot and he couldnt cope with Eubank Jr

It would make much more sense if they was 1-1 against each other.

Yeah but he suffered a career threatening shoulder injury in that fight.

Yes but this isnt like David Haye where he had serious injuries and you could see it affected his performances after, Groves did have a serious injury but i dont think it affected his performance in anyway against Callum Smith.

Lol at groves got more in the tank
    He obviously didn't think so
And he knew he wasn't getting a strap at 175
He only won his smw belt on the fourth time of asking against the weakest champ in the division
Groves v ward at 175 any one

Not sure bud, I watched an interview with a fighter (can’t remember who now may have been Junior) a few months back that made reference to Groves’s very limited use of that arm just a couple of months before that Smith fight. Whilst nullifying Junior was one of his career highs, I think he aged over night.

    Groves is shot
    Not totally but shot
Bloomer early but hit his peak in his prime
Not much left but still relatively young
Groves was leaving his prime whilst facing smith
