This. Hopefully Spence and his team aren’t dumb enough to take Oscar and Canelo up on their offer. Spence would be better off staying at 147 and trying to get all the titles first before moving up to 154 and then eventually 160. Canelo is way too experienced for Spence at the moment and would ruin him just like GGG ruined Brook.

Canelo murders Spence!!! Reason Oscar wants this fight so fast is because he knows this!!

Don't see the natural size difference as that big.
Errol is a big welter/average JMW
Canelo was a big JMW now a average ish MW

So the natural size difference is one division imo

    Canelo beats him up tho

Green??? How in the world is 42-0-1 and 8 years as a pro green?

Canelo going into the Mayweather fight had a better resume then Spence has now with wins over Trout, Mosley, Lopez, and Hatton and was a unified champion. When Spence started his pro career Canelo was already a world champion with over 40 fights under his belt.

Basically Canelo started pro when he was 15 years old, think about that. He had no real amateur background either to develop and refine his boxing skills. While most elite boxers come into the pro ranks with 100-300+ amateur fights, Canelo had to refine his skills as a pro.

It wasn't until Canelo had about 30+ fights under his belt that he entered the lower world level.

These kinds of discussions are always one-way streets. It always favors Canelo. If Canelo steps up in weight he fights a guy like Rocky Fielding but when Spence is asked to step up he is expected to fight Canelo. Why not have Canelo step up two weight divisions and fight Beterbiev? How about it all you Canelo fans? Oh, what? Not interested in that? Hmm...wonder why not?

Can't hate on a guy for pursuing by far his best available payday, but I'm very much opposed to this fight. Spence is one of my favorites and might damage his career irreparably if he makes this move.

There's plenty to do at WW. As for Canelo, as discussed, I don't begrudge his getting creative. I don't like the matchups at 160 for him.

Blown up 135 pounder Mikey called Spence's name and boasted he could beat him and then when it came time to back up his boasts he signed on the dotted line, and 147 was Mikey's 5th weight class.

Spence called Clenelo's name and boasted he can beat him, well the time to back up your boasts has arrived, Errol, are you going to step up to the plate and prove you are a man of your word or are you going to dive into the darkest corner of the chicken coop and announce to the world that you ain't about that life and continue on your leprechaun bashing tour beating up career 140 pounders Paulie level featherfists who were or should've been 1-2 in their 3 fights, blown up 135 pounders who have about as much right being up at 147 as you do of being down at 135, and weight-drained one-eyed cadavers who were coming off a stoppage loss, a bad beating, a terrible eye injury and gruesome surgery to repair it, and back down from 160 after bulking up to fight up there?

Oscar and Clenelo have graciously offered you the opportunity to catapult yourself to super stardom, to validate your P4P top 10 ranking, and reward you with all the riches in the world in one fell-swoop and size wise it's not mismatch like your fight against leprechaun Mikey was.

lol at the size of Spence

Green/greener, in a sense that he was less experienced, smaller, and no where near the prime fighter that he is today.

I'll ask you this, which version of Canelo will Spence have an easier time with? You dont have to answer.

This is one of the worst possible outcomes for 2 divisions if they sign this thing. Canelo should be fighting Andrade or GGG, Spence should be fighting Crawford or Thurman. Thumbs down on all sides.

Ggg also did it against Brook and a lot of people didn't had a problem with it and had ggg like a fearless warrior, but I get it now that is Canelo it's different

Yup. And it'll put an end to any hope of a Crawford fight. Even if they fight and Crawford wins it'll be because Spence is damaged goods after the Canelo fight. I dont care how good or defensive Mikey was Spence not being able to really even hurt Mikey shows that hes not the puncher many tried to make him out to be and Canelo has proven that he can take the best GGG has to offer so he is going to walk through Spences shots. That fight ends only one way and thats Canelo by ko.
