Rather than chasing the big fights against the so-called 'other champions' out there and having them unceremoniously let him down, should AJ just fight his mandatories from now on and let the other fighters offer him the deals to fight them. Surely fighting the number 1 contenders will appease the purists out there and make it even more ludicrous for Wilder, Fury et all to avoid getting in the square circle with him. Cards on the table the split will be 55-45 in his favour if they have a belt and 70-30 if they don't. This whole farce is getting boring now, so let the horses come to the well to drink rather than chasing them around the paddock.
If he got tired of trying to give these guys career high payday to fight for 3 of the 4 major belts then you'd get morons and dickriders claiming he was ducking these guys. The funny thing is I see why people don't like Joshua the man but as a fighter a lot less. The reluctance of heavyweights supposedly top talent to try and dethrone him whilst also talking **** is very embarrassing.
Beyond bizarre at times. This is to be crowned Heavyweight Champion of the World FFS, or even Undisputed Champ if Windy decides to play ball.
All these guys are banking on Joshua to keep winning when it's entirely possible he could lose. As soon as he does and the belts get split up, their paydays get cut in half.
I know, but for millions and the chance to see what your made of to people ?? Its like killing 2 birds with a stone, you can say you fought for the Heavyweight title until your old and grey and be minted.. Times have changed blatantly
An 0 is worth exactly that, zero until they step up to the plate. They should be thinking of the 0000's they would be making by taking his 0. Didn't Klitschko show them the path to glory or is the showbiz part of AJ too much too handle. Jeez, no wonder Lennox gets so animated about the state of HW's today, and in particular AJ's lowballing offers!?!
The bodybuilder needs to back off, let PBC and the bomb squad take over negotiations. 20% more for Deontay's entourage will do. Always wanted a brand new car.
I've been saying it Hearn needs to stop acting desperate. Part of the problem is Hearn has shown he has no limit and will do whatever to make a fight, which delays fights as guys always know they can get away with asking for more. Don't think Hearn has ever walked away from a deal and said no. Truth is Haymon has him over a barrell and it shouldn't be that way since Hearn holds all the cards. Wilder WILL get 50/50, if not more. Eddies weak like that.
