You in all honesty believe Canelo has not improved at all in 6 or so years?
How is that even possible? I mean after all those fights, all those camps, how could he not have improved? Wtf?
And even if he is a couple years older... that would still make him only 30.

    This.
He will be a warrior when he absolutely has to. But he will become a more defensive fighter as the years go by. He has relied on his head movement more and more.
I wonder what will happen after the DAZN deal is completed. He will be 33 or so and with over 60 fights under his belt.

I wasn't saying that to slight Canelo. My point was he was already an elite and experienced fighter even before he fought Mayweather. I think he peaked at the Trout fight. Besides his matches with GGG almost every other fight he's had since Cotto has been a step down in competition. Canelo even before he fought Mayweather would've always beat Jacobs, Chavez Jr., Angulo, Smith, Khan, and Kirkland and would've always struggled with guys like Lara, GGG, and Floyd.

Yep, he started early. DLH will try to milk him until he is brain dead though

De La Hoya only promotes and advises, he doesn't manage Canelo's career, that Chepo Reynoso. The Reynosos nor Canelo seem like the greedy, and wasteful kind. I think 365 mil and Canelo will call it quits when he loses the fire.

There is no way that Oscar exerts that much influence on Canelo. Canelo will call it quits when the time is right.

Not if he has multi million dollar contracts. Ali fought when he was seriously ill because of his contracts with Don King if I'm not mistaking.

True, but this is a much more fighter friendly era. Canelo can always bail and claim "I did it for my health"

He's already had 50+ professional fights and done 24 rounds with Golovkin.

He will have shipped damage unquestionably

Let's not forget a lot of those "miles" were against Tijuana taxi drivers. And, no it wouldn't tarnish GGG's legacy since Canelo wouldn't fight GGG until he was well past his prime. We keep hearing how various fighters are well past their prime when they get over 32. GGG is 37.
