I think some might be confusing "greatest wins with greatest upsets?"

My choice was obviously influenced by my personal preference and since I've always been a big Arguello fan then it's wouldn't really be surprising to find that given the choice I would choose a great fight which had a greater impact on me as a fan rather than one where as great as it was, didn't have the same emotional attachment or bias if you like.

Sounds rational and reasonable to me.

Shhh.... Let's have less of that talk now. Fortunately for most of us, been rational and reasonable has never a big requirement of posting here. ;)

Rocky vs Charles 1 was a war. Probably would not make my top 20

The OP had some odd picks:

    Tommy Gibbons NWS10 Harry Greb
Roy Jones Jr UD12 James Toney

Nor would it make mine....but I doubt anyfight above 140 makes my list.

As far as the criticism you should copy the OP rather than me. I was just having some playful banter with mybRocky fan friend.

Toney and RJJ were 2 undefeated monsters in their prime that collided, both are also in my top 100 p4p. Which is why its on the list

Gibbons ended Greb's reign of terror that he unleashed in 1919.

Rocky vs Charles 1 is a matchup between 2 people i have in the top 20 p4p at, imo, their best condition. It was Charles' last stand, and damn did he put on a show.

Sometimes I wonder if little guys fight hard because, for the most part, they can't hurt each other easily. And they better produce action. No one wants to watch a bad distance fight under 140 pounds. When I used to pay for PPV events, I would hate these little guy distance fights were one was just better than the other and nobody was getting knocked out. To me, it just delayed the main event.

Depends on your criteria. The greatest win could mean the biggest upset / best win a fighter has on his resume.

Or a good action fight where one guy came out win top. Toney vs RJJ was not a great fight.

I kind of tried to take everything into account... if that makes sense? Mainly i was looking for prime vs prime matchups, especially between those on win streaks

Foreman over Fraizer would qualify then. A great win for Foreman.
