GGG is a far better fighter than Froch was, at 165 Froch would be drained and GGG might weaken him further with his brilliant body attack, his body work was far better than Carl`s which could give him an edge even Froch was the naturally bigger man.

I see it close and I hate Froch. Froch's weakness is slickness and boxing ability. Golovkin is unreal but his style is of a methodical plodder to some extent, and add that to his size disadvantage and I can see Froch sneaking it

I rate Golovkin higher p4p but Froch is quite lengthy and awkard. It's a toss up for me.

    Tough fight to predict.

Froch was bigger, longer, somewhat awkward, and had a good chin. However, on the other side, Golovkin is considerably better technically, the catchweight is a significant advantage for GGG, and I can't help remembering an older Froch saying he would "swerve GGG like the plague".

Overall I think the catchweight makes me lean to GGG in this one.

he was trying to make 3G, a guy with no world title form the division below, seem a more fearsome puncher than Groves, putting groves down, if you watch the context of the video.

Groves was trying to make out that Froch would avoid a rematch with him becos he feared getting koed by him, so Froch put him in his place with that, saying his punches were on the level of a eurolevel MW (which 3G was at the time).

I'm not sure I see anyone beating GGG in his prime. ANYONE. We will never know. He was such a destructive force in his prime. Unbelievable power and toughness.

    When was his prime?

I seem to remember Kell Brook lighting Golovkin up in round 2, a welterweight.

Very good power and toughness I agree, but also very slow. To say he is unbeatable is crazy. I couldn't see Joe Calzaghe or Andre Ward losing a round against him - if we are talking at 165.

Golovkin's control of distance and jab too good. UD.

Froch was outclassed by Ward and other than Ward Froch never fought anyone that was elite.

GGG is nowhere near slow and his jab is very hard to evade Froch would not have a speed advantage at all and was much easier to hit.
