Holyfield drew with Lewis and DIDN'T knock Lewis down two times.

Wilder threw more punches than Fury in 11 of the 12 rounds and Wilder scored two knockdowns.

If Fury wanted to win, he should've thrown more punches in 11 of the 12 rounds and scored two knockdowns over Wilder.

    Ninth defense coming up.

    All-time status confirmed.

Holyfield and Lewis was a close fight every round. Though Lewis clearly won, I know this bc I have first hand conversations with Artie Mercante bc weve worked together for over a decade,so try again.

Wilder will go down in HW history as the guy who had a gifted decision off a guy not fighting top level guys for 3 years. So yea its historically important is correct, but that's for Fury and brings light to the Wilder circus career ,first Ortiz then Fury. :eyepop:

you just better hope Breazeale doesn't take his head off ,bc you will look even more foolish with these claims.

Honestly would give you a better chance at becoming the forums most deluded poster ever. I think you're clearly in the running.

Without a Joshua win on his resume he will not be looked at as one, and be known for the 100 million dollar ducker. #FACTS

With a win over Breazeale, Wilder will have as many successful title defenses as Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, Max Schmeling, Jack Sharkey, Max Baer, Jim Braddock and Jersey Joe Walcott COMBINED.

Wilder already has as many successful title defenses as Mike Weaver, Michael Dokes, Gerrie Coetzee, Tim Witherspoon (both reigns), Pinklon Thomas, Greg Page, Tony Tubbs, Bonecrusher Smith, Tony Tucker, Frank Bruno, Trevor Berbick, Oliver McCall and Michael Moorer (both reigns ... and added to the Hall of Fame ballot this year) ... COMBINED.

    It's true.

I've been following boxing since the 1970s. You guys are typical of the jokers who don't recognize great fighters until they are retired.

    That's the case here.

I remember when Larry Holmes was champ and guys said Holmes sucked. I remember when Lennox Lewis was champ and people said Lewis sucked. Now, most have them in the top five heavyweights ALL TIME.

Wilder is a longtime, highly successful champ. Never in a boring fight. Scores tons of KOs. Overcomes injuries to win. And you guys can't think of a single nice thing to say about him.

    Total idiots.

He's more skilled and subtle at fighting than hyping a fight. And no, that's not a compliment....

Loma, yes I have heard of selling a fight. I've also heard of the other fighters that have died in the ring and had their lives ruined in the ring. It is a very dangerous sport. When I look at the totality of the stupidity that flows from Wilder, all benefit of the doubt goes out the window. In the event that he does kill someone in the ring, will the unfortunate boxer's family and loved ones see it as just " selling a fight?"

That would make you between 50-60, I’m not having that. If you’d been watching heavyweight boxing all those years with all the great champs then there is no way you’d be saying Wilder is an all time great. Nearly everyone thinks he’s overrated, protected and a complete bell end.
Reality is you’re probably about 16 and love the attention you get from your delusional Wilder posts

I'm 55. And I have been watching boxing all these years. And I boxed as an amateur. And I have covered boxing events and met top fighters and promoters. And I have been recording and collecting fights since the mid 80s.

And I have watched all those guys win belts and lose belts both in person and on tV ... sometimes losing their belts in a matter of months.

And the people who don't recognize that Wilder (and Joshua) are all-timers are delusional.

These are two great heavyweight champions. Regardless of whether they ever meet in the ring.

I like this site. But most of the people here are so ridiculously biased against Wilder it is laughable.

I remember when Holmes got floored against Shavers and Snipes, and the publications were calling him a joke and said his legs were dead. I remember when Lewis was fighting guys like Phil Jackson and getting destroyed by one punch from McCall, and people were ridiculing him.

I've argued with guys like you for decades.

    You're WRONG.

    I'm right.

Whether you realize that right now or not. That's your problem.
