Popping back over from the UFC. Just watched Anderson Silvas leg give out again. Sad stuff. Hate seeing greats go out like that.

Silva is basically a better Roy Jones now. He doesn't get flatlined every fight like Roy Jones, but he's just fighting cause he likes it. None of these losses count against his legacy for me.

Yes he's still alive, but nope, he retired after he lost to Berchelt.

That wasn't prime Bandido. Miura and Bandido literally almost killed each other and Salido/Bandido took years off his career. Not trying to discredit Berchelt's wins over Bandido, but this was not a fresh prime Bandido.

I think a prime Bandido vs Berchelt would've been less exciting than their actual two fights. Berchelt's game is sticking and moving. A lot. A prime Vargas would've been able to absorb more shots and woud keep coming forward which would lead Berchelt to stick to his game plan. Like he did against Miura. Berchelt fought Vargas aggressively in both fights because he knew he could.

Or who knows, maybe it would've been an all time great war. Lol

Navarrete said. “I want to thank Dogboe because he gave me the opportunity to become a world champion, and now in this second fight, he gave me the opportunity to demonstrate that my first triumph wasn’t by accident and that there is a reason why I have the title. And to all the fighters at122 pounds, I tell them that if they want my title, then they can come and try and take it. ‘El Vaquero’ is here!”

“It’s not over until the final bell. Hats off to Navarrete. He did a great job,” Dogboe said. “Making super bantamweight is getting too difficult. My next fight, I will be moving up to {featherweight}. I will be much more comfortable there.”

The CompuBox stats told the story of the bout. Navarrete landed 314 punches, 215 of which were power shots. Meanwhile, Dogboe landed only 121 of 523 punches.

I have mixed feelings with Berchelt, I dont know why, maybe because he eat too many unnecessary punches. Though, kind of impossible not to be a berchelt's fan, tbh.

    Scary left hook by berchel.

And It's kind of unbelievable the snap of vargas' punches after all this punishement, amazing, how is it even possible?

What was joel's plan? "go there to battle with berchelt, if you win you win, if you die you die"? was that the plan? actually I dont know a better plan for vargas to win to berchelt to be honest, maybe they did so, "go all in, and if you cant, we throw the towel".

Good decision by the corner though, very good decision.
