I think it's all downhill from Hurd from here. He took a beating tonight and his style/flaws will finally catch up to him. It won't take someone as good as J-Rock to beat him in the near future.

Williams hiring the track coach helped his cardio a ton. I was fully expecting him to gas when he started infighting so early in the fight. Hurd looked two weight classes bigger in there.

Giving Hurd three rounds is generous, let alone five.

Especially when a fighter clings to a weight class which is not a money division. On top of that the MW is the money division now.

I've never been of a very high opinion of Hurd, but this week all this talks about how special he is really got into my head somehow...

I didn't hear any of the post fight interviews but you make sense there. Sounds like Williams is as classy after the fight as he was in the fight.

It's a testament to Williams character that he has come back from his highlight reel knock out loss to Charlo to beat Hurd so decisively. It take courage and honesty to do this. He didn't just win on the outside and inside, he took away Hurd's mid range. Negating the mid range was something Takeshi Inoue did against Munguia. Kudos to Stephen Breadman Edwards too.
Speaking of Munguia he and Hurd have both really struggled against fighters who give them no time to think and set up. Had Munguia - Hogan been scored as most people saw it we would've had all belts at 154lbs change hands in the last few months.

I'm not sure if I'm happy. I don't like Hurd. I'm happy he lost.
But I always wanted that easy-to-hit moron to move up and get demolished in MW. Where his SMW/LHW size will matter less.
And yes, fix was in. Great job by Williams. I hope he establishes his terms in the rematch so he won't get robbed.
