Yep. Other than Golovkin 1 I had him winning all those fights. Good analysis Max.

No, he is the second best. There aren't anybody who comes close to Eli Sekbach in terms of boxing knowlege and analysis.

You realize that if I lined up 100 boxing fans, they would all make the exact same post as yours, but the fights they thought 'no way did he win' would vary from person to person, and each person would think the others dont know how to score fights.

You say he beat Trout. I know credible people that think Trout won. You say he beat Jacobs. I personally can not see that fight in favor of Jacobs. I actually feel Canelo outclassed him. Yet... There are people that think he lost. Ect ect.

At some point we have to realise that our personal scores for fights arent the be all end all of who won the fight.

That being said... I'll rewatch the Lara fight. But imo, Lara is overrated, his skills are overrated, and his weak impressions of effective boxing are more negative than they are actually effective.

However its been a long time since I watched it... I'll take a second look.

Eye on the ring... a site where boxing nerds post their scorecards in an effort to counter official decisions and robberies, out of about 51 scorecards, 18 were for Canelo, 11 were a draw, and 22 were for Lara.

When you re-watch it make sure you don't score shots that land on lara's back and elbows. Canelo was not landing at all, Lara clearly outlanded him by far. Lara running left a bad taste in people's mouth but objectively I don't see how there is anyway to give Canelo 7 rounds. If you do re-watch it, share your scorecard with me. I'll re-watch it again too. I would also say Jacobs/Canelo is one of those fights where there is no way for anyone to objectively score it for Jacobs, and I was rooting for Jacobs. I haven't seen the Trout fight in so long so I won't comment on that. Even thought I thought Canelo/GGG 1 was a robbery, I feel like that fight was even closer than Canelo/Lara.

Here's the thing though, every time Canelo threw a body punch whether it landed or not, the crowd went crazy. I feel like that could have easily changed people's perceptions on the fight. Then you add in the fact that Lara is running and it just leaves a bitter taste in people's mouths, so they favor close but clear rounds from Lara to Canelo.

    Canelo lost to Mayweather
    Canelo lost to Lara
    Canelo lost to Golovkin
    Canelo lost to Golovkin again.
    Canelo lost to Jacobs

    He should actually be 47-6-2.:deal:

But not like Pac's resume since Manny actually beat a lot of great fighters and didn't need judges' help to do it (except of Marquez).

If he'd lost all those, his record would be 48-6-1.
