The concern I have with Williams is as good as he looked against Hurd he still looked vulnerable late in the fight at times. He has to believe and maybe now that he has the belt it will give him the extra he needs.

154 is weak when you got average fighters like Tony Harrison, Julian Williams and Mungai holding the belts.

I look forward to Madrimov clearing up the division.

J-Rock's a good guy, and a terrific fighter so I'm happy he finally got a chance to call himself world champion.

Also happy for his trainer, Stephen Edwards, who has always come across as being very intelligent and down to earth whenever I've heard him on commentary on PBC fights. Glad he got the chance to watch his long time charge win the big one.

I never saw him look vulnerable. He did take his foot off the gas a couple times and let Hurd work, which seemed like purposeful resting to me. I did see a couple defensive lapses. But what landed, he took with no problem.

All it requires is a change in hair color.

Munguia is one of the most overrated title holders in boxing today. He will be beaten badly when he finally runs into some real talent.

There were definitely some moments where it looked like if Hurd were paying attention he could have done some serious damage but Hurd never looked sharp.
