You must be joking right? Hughie is an exceptional talent and a very skilled boxer. I think the Fury name is more of a hinderance than help as he will always be compared to his cousin. There is a reason nobody at British will go near him and it's because they know they will get beat.

"Obviously I don't find him dull to watch as you and the causals do."
That is your statement what does it imply, if not that not finding him exciting makes you a casual fan??

That comment was in reply to destructions comment in which he stated: "You are interested in a fighter with a style so dull that he turns casuals off boxing."

I don't suppose many casuals would enjoy watching Hughie Fury, or appreciate his style, but not liking Hughie Furys style in itself does not make someone a casual.

Cannot stand the style of the running skirt - he calls himself a fighting man then runs away in 50/50 fights

He has a talent I fully agree.
Just nobody wants to see a dancing heavyweight who unfortunately couldn't crack an egg.

What's the reason he is fighting this 4th rater at the age of 24 ,after 6 years into his career?

Has anyone had a look at the top 10 Canadian heavyweights? Hughie is better than this, I know it's a tune up but this is pretty poor, what next, Peter McNeeley in a comeback fight?

You already know the answer to this but...

He’s been injured...lost 2 of his last 3 fights, had 3 fights in 3 years...his last fight wouldn’t have done anything for his confidence. I would guess that they want to get him back under the lights, shake off a bit of ring rust and this is what they could probably afford with the budget they had at this stage.

Yes. 3 fights in 3 years at a time in his development when he should be fighting 3-4 times a year.

Smashing good fight, Chris Norrad must be one of the most underrated heavyweight prospects ever!

Mark My words Norrad will completely outbox Fury come fight night. Ridicule me if you want to but Hughie has proved he is not an elite level boxer, there is levels to this game and Norrad is head and shoulders above Fury.

I'm a fan of fury and would probably be kind and call him incredibly frustrating rather than boring as even when he get in decent position to throw his shots with some snap or conviction he doesn't. I understand he needs to find an opponent a fair bit below Pulev and Parker given the position he is in but this is garbage.

Sometimes I think these fights are just as bad for the sport as the PPV's we are being served up. This will be headlining primetime on a terrestial channel (on a day at the end of the football season on a weekend without much sport) and hardly any boxing fans will have heard of this guy he is fighting. It's not that long ago they couldn't find a tv channel for him to fight for a world title you think Fury's team would apply some sort of quality control when they have the opportunity for him to fight primetime on channel 5.

I'm still a fan but if I was in the pub and More 4+1 was showing repeats of 'A Place in the Sun' I wouldn't even bother to ask them to change the channel for this.
