Jack Dempsey vs Samuel Peter

Dempsey imo.

Peter was too hittable and he didn't exactly excel when he fought former MW James Toney.

Don't get me wrong, stylistically totally different, but it showed that a MW can beat Peter.

 

Expect to see Peter on the canvas a lot!

Peters is left brutally knocked out on the canvas mumbling 'who necks?'

 

Dempsey never fought anyone near as strong and powerful as a prime Peter.... Despite what shortcomings Sam might otherwise have had.

 

And Peter had a granite chin in his prime.

 

I thought that Peter owned Toney the second time around. And James weighed 234 and fought a cagey, counter and retreat fight most of the time, not something Dempsey was renowned for.

 

Dempsey would flatten Peter. Way too slow and hittable.

 

Anyone else think Samuel Peter looks really roided up?

Good, modern athlete genes.

His problem was it all came too easily and he got lazy and unmotivated. Typical powerpuncher pitfall.

 

Unfortunately, Peter may well take this.

 

Hard to say, but his traps look pretty overdeveloped which is a big red flag.

Maybe he just went to Canelo's butcher.
