I love Whyte but he should stay the **** away from Fury. I honestly think Fury would stop him because it would be so much unanswered punishment. Man, Whyte's getting frozen out a bit, I hope he doesn't end up having to fight Fury.

Fury easy UD win, Whyte won’t get near him.

I think Fury is serious about the fight. It’s a good time to silence a challenger who most deem a serious threat, he can beat him and say Wilder wanted none of it etc. It should be easy work for Fury and then he’s in a great position - he’s beaten 2 of the top 5.

I truly believe Fury beats everybody in the division when he's on his game... You can't KO what you can't hit.

Yeah it's clear the WBC are moving heaven and earth to keep him from getting his shot.

Smart move by WBC knowing that Fury will likely beat Whyte and if he's named mandatory for Wilder, Fury will still likely delay the Wilder rematch as he was mandated before and signed with ESPN instead, so it leaves Wilder to keep cherry picking opponents and keeps the WBC title in the hands of a US based heavyweight.

This is going to trigger some for sure but Fury V Whyte is this era's Ali V Frazier.
You can judge for yourself if fight night comes round, I think this will be more competitive than most in the thread.
Whyte has a good chin and Fury had competitive fights with McDermott and Chisora. He could easily have a flat night and 'fight down' to his opponent's level.
Prime Whyte can possibly be Fury's hardest fight yet, given that Wlad was bamboozled for a lot of their slow-paced fight.
    This is 50/50 imo.

I'm just comparing what people were saying about Frazier before the FoC to what the thread consensus is about Whyte now. Fury sure doesn't have Ali's chin....

Frazier was a natural pressure fighter. Whyte is a counter puncher. His style is completely different. He isn't comfortable coming forward. He likes to wait and block then counter big with the left hook. Fury is the worst style ever for him.

Be fair, like Ali, Fury has no bad style match-ups really. Whyte is a strong unit and could get inside. Was Wilder successful against Fury because of his style? Wilder has no style and is crude on the attack but is far more of a patient counter puncher than Whyte. Didn't stop him decking Fury twice.

Whyte has some good power in this hands. Also in his age and training he should improve match by match, so i wouldn`t count him out.
    To me it`s a 50 - 50 match or 60 - 40 if Tyson is in great shape, that i doubt.

Wilder has the range and speed to close the distance. Whyte doesn't.

But it wasn't a great Fury was it? Everyone was saying beforehand that Fury shouldn't have taken the fight against Wilder, he wasn't ready and needed 2 more fights etc. And I agree. And that's why we need to take that Wilder fight with a grain of salt, because it was too early despite how well Fury did. More weight needed to come off and he needed at least another fight that bridged the gap between Pianeta and Wilder, if not two fights.
