Watched 2 episodes of The Walking Dead.

I can safely say that it's not even in the same league as The Wire.

Each to there own,I just don't see your example as being apt since I don't see any negative connotation with watching 2-3 episodes a day which equates to a similar amount of time to what people spend watching a movie.

 

Because you're not giving your brain time to digest what you've just watched. Have you ever watched a shown in its entirety turning it's run? While waiting for the next episode what are you doing? Thinking and processing it. It really isn't rocket science. Binge watching is over indulging. @CST80 is a fanatical TV and movie buff and he completely agrees.

 

It isn't rocket science like you said so I don't know why I would need the time processing 1 episode when I can enjoy and process a few episodes. It's the reason pretty much all television is designed to allow you to watch multiple episodes at a time instead of having to wait every week to watch a 30-60 minute episode.

 

Besides that I want to savour and enjoy something which goes back to the pizza and ice cream/cake analogy. I get why people binge stuff. It's impulsive behavior though.
