Just off topic a little bit
Josey what is your opinion of young Joe Cordina , he is a slick boxer IMO with a good future .
Could he challenge Lee Selby down the track ?

For what its worth, I think Cordina's capable of doing a demolition job on Selby tomorrow. I'm really high on him.

If they fought tomorrow I'd have to favour Selby at this point in their respective careers , Joe has all the talent in the world but i would favour him in perhaps another year or two , another aspect to take into consideration is we don't really know how Lee will go as the competition gets better at his new weight .

    i know it was postponed.
i don't care about excuses, he is facing someone ranked 500+ in the world next fight in his first fight in a year. he is capable of so much more.

    time to step up imo.

You just said yourself you're aware he hasn't fought in a year so surely you realise to " step up " after not fighting in a year would be career suicide ? Jai will shake the ring rust off in this reset fight and hopefully move on post said reset fight . It's been a tad disappointing to see his career stall in recent months admittedly but to " Bag " the kid out for not " stepping up " in this fight is what I assume you fellers down under call Un Australian .

Agreed. Its being a long time since Opetia has been in the ring through no fault of his own. Its disappointing for all involved as his African opponent visa was refused. Opetia has fight planned for July.

"I reckon so", as the Outlaw himself would say. Although having to go 10 rounds wouldn't do him any harm. I hope it's a good fight. When guys have the time to prepare properly & set themselves for a big one, it can get interesting. Camilleri spars with Michael Zerafa who is more advanced than Tszyu at this point so we'll see.

Bit of a pity some of these undercard fights have fallen through. That African guy against Opetaia could have produced anything. If he was a bad enough man for his visa to be refused, that's the kind of opponent we want to see Opetaia in with.

Cameron Hammond pulling out against Jack Brubaker was a surprise to me. Sure Brubaker deserved to be favourite in Sydney but former Olympian Hammond should have been up for that one. He produces his best & he wins. It was a chance to become the best welterweight in the country on a nationally televised show & he's turned it down.

Still looking forward to seeing Opetaia & Brubaker fight but the most competitively matched fight appears to be the main.
