Yeah, he should have a tuneup or two before.. Just to get his confidence back. This kind of fight can be a great thing or a bad thing.. Obviously depending on outcome. It is a little rushed. Either he doesn't think much of Danny, or he thinks everyone else will be much easier than Spence. But he should be a little more professional about it.
Idk... I dont actually mind this fight, and dont quite get the hate. I think its a winnable one for both fighters and will likely be an interesting clash of attributes. If Danny wins he surely sends Mikey back down in weight. If Mikey wins his stock goes up and he shows that maybe just maybe he will actually be a danger to anyone not named Spence or Crawford.
Why does Mikey get a free pass? Dimensionally and weight wise, he's bigger than Manny Pacquiao and is physically stronger. Power is probably the same. And people say he's more skilled with a higher boxing IQ. SO WHY IS MIKEY TOO SMALL FOR 147 WHEN THE SMALLER-THAN-MIKEY PACQUIAO IS EXPECTED TO FIGHT TOP WELTERS???
All I hear people say is how amazing and technical Mikey is and that he would KO Pac. But the point is everyone's always saying this guy or that guy is too small... and usually the guy in question is bigger than Manny.
It’s a good fight, I actually favour Mikey in this fight, if he can just box and move he can beat Garcia. Danny has a chance with the weight advantage.

Mikey's a counterpuncher... Danny's not really a high output guy and a counterpuncher himself. This has stinker all over it to be honest.
Broner is low output and counter puncher to and Mikey dealt with him, so it could be a stinker no doubt but both men have points to prove neither will respect each other too much so I’ll be optimistic with this one. I would have preferred to see Manny vs Mikey but Thurman vs PAC and Garcia vs Garcia are two solid match ups on paper m.
