Yeah that's very true, and the idea that you can't compare BHop and Canelo is laughable, it's almost too ridiculous to even respond to, it just reeks of having some kind of an agenda, and frankly it speaks directly to how effective that post comparing BHop and Canelo was particularly in regard to what a 40-something Hopkins did to Pavlik. I do think a Prime Taylor or a Prime Pavlik would each have an entertaining fight with Canelo, but the difference in skill I think would show itself by the end. You have to favor Canelo, it's the ability to slip punches and come back with big shots that separates Canelo from these guys. Taylor as great as he was was just not elusive enough, Pavlik never had to deal with a guy who could slip the jab and work the body like Canelo has shown he can do. The closest was Hopkins and we seen how Hopkins made easy work out of him. You could argue that wasn't the best version of Pavlik, that a determined Pavlik would fare better. Maybe so, and Pavlik's size would be an adjustment for Canelo but any version of Pavlik would likely be outclassed and outworked by Canelo. He just isn't equipped to deal with the upper body movement, the slipping of punches, the body and counter punching of Canelo.
He wasn't too big for Sergio. Sergio coped with him ok didn't he? Canelo hits as hard as Sergio and is a bigger than Sergio!
I didn't ask for obvious flaws, just his flaws. You like to think of yourself as an expert so should be able to spot the less obvious ones. What are his flaws?
Sergio has at least two inches on Canelo and movement Canelo could only dream of utilizing in a fight.
I think of myself as an expert ? Really ? You seem to know a lot about me.I thought I was just some fanboy, now I'm an expert ? OK, I mean he relies on his upper body movement and counter punching instead of working behind a jab. Occasionally he'll get caught with a big shot late in a fight like in GGG 2 or vs Jacobs. If when he starts to tire towards the end of the fight he switched to a more basic style working behind the jab then he wouldn't get caught like that as much. I think he could work more of a jab centric style late in fights after he has command of a fight, after he's built up a lead, to prevent getting caught with big shots late in fights when his opponents get desperate. I think it would be a good adjustment for him to make especially when he starts fast and aggressive. So there, the lack of working behind the jab late in fights and getting caught occassionally. So there you go : How's that for a flaw ? What other flaws do you see, the less obvious ones ?

I was very clear in what I wrote. My opinion of you is unequivocal: I think you're a fanboy... but with a caveat now because of the above. Your list is reasonably solid. I think you missed out footwork, because he's a little flat-footed at times. And because his footwork is on the cumbersome side, he struggles to cut off the ring against the more elusive fighters. I rate Canelo. I rate him highly although I think he's peaked now, or maybe even slipped a little from his highest level. He has lots of miles on the clock and not many fighters retire with an '0'...
