Hughie Fury is a superb boxer and an upstanding polite and well mannered young man. Don’t forget he went to Bulgaria to box Pulev when most didn’t want to, including Pudding Whyte. I don’t understand how anyone could dislike him. Sure have a go at him for being a “boring” fighter. I can understand that although I don’t agree with that perception. Don’t forget he scored probably the most stylish KO of the year last year against Sexton. Also don’t judge him on the Pulev fight. His eye was so badly cut and the game plan went out the window five minutes into the fight.
His second name is Fury. For that, he'll always have his fair share of haters. He's only 24 and has fought Parker and Pulev. I had him beating Parker by two points. I think he has a bright future in the sport.
For someone only 24, he's really had a solid start to his career. To have boxed and competed at World level is no mean feat, and I think you could comfortably put him in the top 20/15 heavyweights out there. It is a tricky position for him to be in at the moment however, where you can't really see any of the champions fighting him until at least 2021, given their schedules and plans. If I was guiding him, he should be looking at the European title and building a bit of a name for himself on terrestrial tv.
You had him beating parker by 2 points?! Is that you adalaide bryd?! Shades of ali! WE ARE FIGHTING MEN!!!
No, it was an honest scorecard. Parker landed next to nothing. I felt Hughie landed the best shots of the fight and was elusive throughout. However, Hughie didn't land enough either and I can see why people scored it for Parker, who tried to push the action. I wasn't the only one who scored it for Hughie.
I had my largest boxing bet on Hughie to best Parker and there’s no way he beat him by 2 points. Hughie is always going to be an awkward sell; non fan friendly style; doesn’t shift tickets; has a style that doesn’t compliment most other heavyweights. No British fighter worth their salt will go near him. I hope Big Mick still has enough money left in the pot rebuild his career, he’s certainly some talent and has the potential to be a world champion.
Only if a body does a Charles Martin and has 2 puddings picked out of thin air to fight for a belt. The skirt gets destroyed by any decent heavyweight and could be seriously injured if he somehow is picked as a soft defence for Tony Dosh PPV or Wilder.
I still rate him and I think he can become a World Champion. It's the acne that concerns me, the medication he was on hampered him in the past and his skin appears to be so weak, the early cut against Pulev for example, which I'm pretty certain came from a cut he received in sparring. I still believe that he would have beaten Pulev had it not been for the cut, I think he would have done enough. I don't see anyone knocking him out, he's a seriously tough lad and he's got very good movement.
Mark my words Norrad will defeat Fury, there is levels to this game and Fury is not at the elite level.
